Thanks once again st150 for advise.

I saw your project celina.....that cool,

The foreman told me that the AE-92 4AGE 16valve or AE-92 4A-GZE
would be a bit problem cos for example what he told me for the
4A-GZE when u convert would be lot of (kacau) in long term and
the 4AGE will oil leaking that what he advise to me....in other word
he introduce to me the blacktop. In the converting the 4A-GZE, the price
is about RM2k something, not including JPJ transfer engine number...

st150, do u have any information with the 4AGZE problem difficultly
in term of maintainance. In term of the JPJ should it be problem
or need to inspection.

Puspakom inspection is now a MUST no matter what engine change you do.
Same cc kar besar cc ka, have to go thru Puspakom. If not they dun update
your car reg. card. Fee is now more than RM40 liao. If I'm not wrong
(Forget liao mar) RM 15 or RM25, just for the bugger to look under your
car hood and see if the new engine number and then number you've
submitted tally or not. Then it's RM45 or RM50 to go thru the brake/
suspension/headlights/...bla bla bla test. ANd this is if you do it
yourself. Consider lucky if can finish in 2 hours. I spent 4 hours there.
MCH.

Be4 you decide on which engine to transplant, ask yourself what do you
wnat it for? Race race ker or for daily commuting? Priorities must be
straight ler if not whatever engine you change also you won't be
satisfied wan. Forced induction engine would prefer more pampering but
being Toyota engines they can take a bit of abuse.......not too much tho.
Even SCs blow up.......BIG Time. The regular service intervals are
required lor.

Aiseh.....what ler your foreman. ANy engine if nott taken acred of sure
to give problems la. TEll him to go suck **** ler or fly kite. His
choice. 20V blacktop of course good ler but you pay more for it mar. ANd
if he is sourcing it for you, don't you think he will take a bit from the
price for his own ar. YOU stay where? I take you go shopping for engine
and fore man. NO point getting conned ler.

jason,

I'll tell u what this XtasCie fella under his hood....a damn
bloody, "blow" u away....4A-GZE Super charge lor...if u want to know about
SChargers, he's THE man to ask; I call him sifu of sifus..

IMHO, if u use the 20v series (be it blacktop or silvertop for the
matter), it'll not be so much fun 'coz it has a rather low torque. If u
want the power, u'll have to rev up to the higher RPM range; which is not
practical in town use, don't u think so ? At the lower revs, it's kinda
lethargic, very similiar to the Vtecs.

On the other hand, the Scharge has a very high torque (21 kg-m) as
compared to the other Levins which has only 16.5 kg-m. The Charger kicks
in at a very low RPM; around 1500 RPM, so practically u can just point &
shoot! I heard that the SCharger even outruns VR4s on the first 2 gears!

Don't be misled by the Hp figures, its torque u want. Of course this is
only my humble opinion lar...get a second opinion, say from an expert like
XtasCie.

Regards.

Eh, Yau........you promote me like that, I die la. Afterwards cannot
deliver how leh? Me retired la........hehehehe......after I 7A-GZE my
baby 1st. Dun la sifu sifu, pai seh la. Big Smile

Jason...I stay in Taman Segar so we're blardee near each other la. I take
it that you're in your early 20s. Hmm......get the charger. This way you
won't regret not trying it when you're older. But be prepared to pay more
for fuel consumption. Parts are not exactly identical to the other 4A
either but sourcing for them shouldn't be a problem.

And yes....a tuned properly charger can eat VR4s in the 1st and 2nd gears
but will lose out once the hair dryer starts to blow in 3rd. I'd say
probably around 200 to 300 meters la. After that it's VR4 all the way
liao. Better to bully the 4G91T. Hahahaha.......that one you can makan
wan la but still...........It actually boils down to who has the better
tuned car ler. But sad to say.....Vtecs rule......

I hope you're not rushing to do the transplant. Read up a bit more about
it so you'll get a better picture as to what you want. Source around for
the engine. Just walk in and ask the buggers there la. THey sure give you
lotsa info wan. The chop shop after the mosque, just be4 you trun up to
Ketumbar heights belongs to my friend. Ask for Ah Kunt. He should be able
to help. Dun say I intro wan cos me hutang him some Vcds leh.....Hahahaha

RM2,200.00 sound ok. Ask if it includes anything else like the fuel tank,
rear discs....bal bla bla. Is it 165bhp or 145bhp? DO you know how to
recognise them? The 145bhp wan got AFM...the black box thingy like in the
Wira wan. If 165bhp dun have this black box. MOst know these as the air
filter box. Check and see. Try shopping elsewhere like with Tang
brothers, the chop shops in Kajang, the ones in Kampung Melayu Subang,
the many many ones along Jalan Cheras, Old Klang road leh?......Mun Lee
in Puchong also can. Check out the NIssan forum. I think one of the
members are very close with the Mun Lee guys.

What do you mean by inspection? Sourcing it is a good idea. Even if
you're not going ahead with the transplant you could still learn
something. LIke spare parts and such.

Find a half cut
Agree on the price and extras thrown in (Remember the custom papers &
receipt)
Find a good mechanic
Agree on the price and extras thrown in
Do the transplant
Visit regularly
Keep a pocket book on the expenses
Go to Puspakom (Dun do anything to the exhaust, leave it standard) OR you
can opt for the runner thingy
Go to JPJ (Check and check the numbers again)
Go to Insurance company ( Get your insurance policy updated)

I mean this is the usual flow la. There are of course things in between
the points which I've not mentioned but then again......it's no fun if
everything is told to you rite? Enjoy
