I had such problems too,It already been solve. The likely problem is the
Vacuum sensor, sometimes they call MAPS sensor. The sensor is at the top
position as the wiper motor somewhere in the middle,it has a long thin
hose about less the 1 cm in diameter connected to the trottle unit at the
far left.If you face this problem when starting give a few gentle tap at
the sensor with a screwdriver handle and then start again,if ok means the
sensor is not very good.I got a 2nd hand unit for about 60 bucks from
potong kereta shop.A new sensor will cost about 750.00.Hopes it helps

Thanks for the offer. Well the digital clock is getting dimmer and once a
while when I ran over a bump, it would become clearer. I suspected the
wiring/soldering has loosen. I have asked the UMW SC to check but they
told me cannot to much except replacing the whole unit. Are u the 1
having the same problem and in the end did u replace or repair it? Where
is the location?
Regards.

tfyew who was posting about Camry
Well, as highlighted to the Vios group, in comparison with the Potong or
P2 cars, the Toyota owners are relatively smaller, so, it's better if we
can have owners of different models to be grouped into one, that will make
it easier and more feasible to register at the ROS, and be recognised. It
will benefit all instead of a specific group. Then from within, we can
always break-up into different interest camp, e.g. Altis, Vios, Camry,
Unser, Rav4, Performance, ICE etc.
It's indeed encouraging to see more Camry forumers, putting away the
perception of being an ah pek's car Soli-hor, no offence, but i
really believe it's very nice executive car, even the earlier generations.
Cheers !
