Ladies & Gents,

I am initiating this thread in response to ytchoong's comment on
feasibility of setting up a Camry club of sorts. The objective of this
thread for now would first be to initiate an impromptu tally of Camry
owners (all years/models)in this forum .. or more aptly known
as "Camrians".. as yt has so professionally termed it.. Smile

Once we complete this, we can mutually decide how this should be managed
going forward..

Allow me to start the tally...

1. CK : 1998 Camry 2.2GX / Colour : Spring Green

Here are some updates on ignition problem ‘engine difficult to
start’....I’m not sure how many of you still remember this problem.

I sent my car back to sec 19 SC last week, they told me that this problem
(occasionally diff to start) is due to fuel overflow. This will happen if
we continuously start and stop the engine for a couples times (sometime on
the second attempt, if the engine not started on the first attempt). When
this problem happen, they advise me....
1. press the accelerator when I restart the engine
2. off it, remove the key and reinsert the key to start the engine
again (what I’m doing right now)
Not sure how true it is....any comments from you guys?

Another update on aircon problems (dirt coming out and smell from outside
flows into the car).....They told me a long story about the aircon
outlets, fans, blowers etc...don’t really understand him. And to get this
fix is to replace the set and it costs around RM3,700! Just take CK’s
advice and ask a local aircon man to look into the problems. It was
awfully tiring when you talk to them....keep you guys posted on this.

Anybody has any other ideas on this?? Pls advise.
