Dear Vr2,

 

your SUV problem resolved yet?

 

i have send my car to toyota and when they run the diagnosis, no error msg come out. at the end they clean my throat body and set my idle higher..

 

after one mth problem seem come back but not serious unless engine die off...

 

now i try not pump till fulll tank and see whether any help or not..

 

i still enjoy driving this car, hope this problem can resolved...

Nope, not yet. Since problem only when refuel I also just left it like that. Kick the starter longer, step on accelerator not to let engine die off then everything back to normal, until next refuel.......lol

hi all,

 

need to seek advice. ytday want to check my brake, the mech told me my brake pad only remain 20% and need to skim the disk brake. 

 

my question is as follow:-

 

a) i cannot change a new brake pad now as better off the skim the disk brake then change the brake pad... is it true?

B) so far no laud noice when i brake.

Usually you will require to skim the disc rotor if:

1) When during high speed braking you get a lot of vibration from the steering wheel

2) The disc rotor worn uneven and/or have many worn deep lines

 

Nowadays for some car make, the disc rotor replacement is not very expensive. Maybe you should check the price first as you already need to pay for skimming, maybe can add a little more for new disc.

Skimming disc also need a minimum thickness, too thin already then cannot skim....

Probably the rotor have many deep grooves already that is why your mechanic advise to skim. My friend's Myvi seems he can get a pair of disc for like RM120, skimming already like RM80, so he rather get new disc.....lol

If for your car the disc is not cheap then skim it.....

Lately my problem gone, don't know why also. Now pump full, can start like normal.......lol
