deposit for black Lancer GT (red fully booked) and was promised delivery
within 1 week of the Bank's letter of undertaking.
After followup by the bank, the LOU was issued on Tuesday 14th August,
but the salesman already giving me blank looks. I had to sit in front of
Manager to ensure that they don't play games and allocate the car, and I
left after signing the HP agreements etc and having been given the
confirmation by the Manager that the car had been allocated "but waiting
for Datuk Donald to sign the release of stock". I was to wait for the
chassis number for the insurance cover of my choice.
Today, still waiting for allocation!
And they are advertising the car like mad in the daily newspapers. Be
wary of what they promise you with regard to delivery.

My current car is a Toyota. The SA in Toyota is worlds apart better than
the Mitsu SA. Once I booked and everything is signed, they don't even have
the decency to be courteous anymore. Every call I make is met with
nonchalant attitude. They just want to end the calls quickly and move on to
the next.
Baru satu kereta popular, dah berlagak macam sial.
If not for the loan is already approved, honest to god, I'd buy myself a Civic.
Honest to God!
It really made me miss Toyota services already. If this is the sign of
things to come - Services etc, I'll tell all my family, friends and
colleagues to steer away from Mitsubishi.
And I have a friggin' big mouth and people read my friggin' blog.
I promise you that.

But what surprise me is a 6 months for the Red Lancer, and 5 months for the
rest...Cant believe it, And my wife just thought the waiting time is too
long..next year only can collect car...

car. So, we booked the red one that day. He said can get middle of Sept.
Fair enough. The next day, I came over to deliver my stuff for loan
application, he said he can`t deliver red on time, only silver or black. I
was miffed, but not that much (yet). I said okay, no problem. So I changed
mine to silver.
Delivery is not the problem. Attitude is -
These days, when I have questions about insurance or something, i`ll give
him a ring. He`s always in a hurry and said everything `will be taken care
of` - an answer which I REALLY REALLY hate, because based on my experience,
nothing will be taken care of when the time comes. He said he`ll call us as
soon as the loan is approved. He did not. We had to call the bank ourselves.
This produces a bitter experience in purchasing the Mitsubishi Lancer. An
experience I would always be reminded when buying my next car.
Totally different with my experience with Toyota. She took the time to
answer all my questions. She even gave me a call once in a while just to
check up on me, even though the delivery period was 6 months that time.
There`re 2 things which are equally important to a customer - pre-sales and
post-sales. I hope this is an isolated case. I hope you guys get good
services and can communicate well with your SAs.

drive, the SA said test car is there but getting ready for road show, so
tak boleh. then i saw it in subang parade over the weekend, as the SA for
test drive, he said OK, but gotta go section 25, shah alam, and he
added 'can only drive short distance ah...". then i ask my fren, he said
can arrange for SA in sg besi to test drive. went there, only 1 test car
at the back and the SA missing even though time was set. then 1 father
and son couple was there and they went for their test drive. i actually
got cheque book with me, but my 'principle' is.. MY money, i get to
choose. What is this nonsense of waiting 6 mths. If have to wait 6 mths,
might as well i only buy 6 mths later. probably other car maker wise up
and come up with better offer. what for i pay now and bind myself. i look
at the eon setup and suddenly realize that this was the same
establishment that failed me so many times for my first 2 cars. good
advertisement, solid product, but delivery process needs to improve. I'll
stick to my honda and toyota for the moment.
