Mitsubishi Lancer sooo Good!!!

I have just got my GF`s Mitsubishi Lancer, everything so good, quality
built. I think it`s mainly because of CBU (Assemled in Japan) gua...all
part are made in
Japan. Compared to my brother`s New Sentra, I have to say the quality of
Lancer exceed it. Sentra`s absorber, radiator, air-con are made by APM
malaysia, while Lancer`s parts all made in Japan. Malaysia top celebrity
Amber Chia also own a Lancer...
What can I say? It`s a good buy yet everyone seems to go for cheap,
inferior CKD Honda City, Toyota Vios...why? Second hand value being
considered? Tell you a truth, all car are the same, no resale value after
5 yrs time! Why not buy a quality car and use it for long time...Lancer
comes with 5 yrs warranty or 100,000km, whichever comes first. It won`t
give headache in car repair in coming 5 yrs time!
Come on malaysian, it`s time to evolve, time to make a change. So many
good stuff in the market comes with good selling price, but some shallow
Malaysian still can`t accept it, question it, just look at Volkswagen
Golf RM200k, Audi A3, A4, Pegeout 407 and so many CBU quality car, with
powerful engine, drivestrain, technology, and most importantly, totally
assembled in Germany. Yet, these cars are so rare being seen on
road...seems like CKD City, Vios, Accord, Camry & CKD Mercedes & BMW are
the only choice for
Malaysian.
Under NAP, a CKD car`s parts must be 40% buatan Malaysia, yet the price
of a CKD car is still sky high, I don`t see any good of going for a CKD
car!
P/S: Stament above is only my personal opinion & comment, correct me if I
am wrong.

same Proton Waja engine 4G18. I am not saying that this engine is no good
but think about the price difference between this 2 cars. Is that really
worth of buying?

The dashboard is so '80s, the engine is a 10-year technology and the
handling does not inherit any of the characteristics of its more famous
rally-capable big brother.
And the price is a joke - CBU or otherwise.

engine found in the Lancer 1.6 is as rough and unrefined as those found
in the Waja 4G18.
In other markets, there is a 2-litre version powered by the 4G94 engine.
That engine is much smoother and more pleasant.

Most Malaysian don't buy CBU is because they cost a lots more than CKD on
comparable C.C. (Litre)especially at the salary earner points of view
no doubt they are better built in quality ..

is currently having a promotion. OTR price of RM79k for brand new 2005
make. Although the cars are already registered(plate WNU, BJA) had a
check on the car and it looks good(brand new), with good interest rate of
3.75%. And best of all , it's a Japan CBU!
Well, if I'm in the market of vios or city, I'd rather go for this
Lancer. Test drove it as well, and the ride and NVH is good too, better
than city and vios in my opinion, although the suspension setup is more
comfort-biased, so there's more roll in corner. But this car is purely
a "sedan", nothing much to it. But for RM79k, I think it's a bargain for
1.6l japan cbu!
