Guys,
I have done 27k km on the car. Lately, I feel that the car is a bit heavy
(on accelaration). The car used to be pretty quick at a tab on its
accelerator.
I did my last service for 20k km last december 06. During the service,
beside engine oil, EON also replaced ATF.
Do you have any idea on why the car feel heavy?

I guess you do your servicing at EON. Perhaps, you can try fully
synthetic to see. Coz fully synthetic is much more thinner than semi-syn.
You can try Castrol Edge.

it could be your atf fluid..either too low or too high or even the wrong type..honda even had problems when they used normal atf for their city's cvt gbx...refer to owners manual...oil for 1.6 should be 5w30..

trustgtr33,
The car was fine after the service until my wife complaint about the
heaviness a few week ago (odo around 26k km). My wife is the primary
driver of the car - me only drive during weekend and balik kampung. She
only drive about 5 km a day within campus area.
My wife and I rarely push the car hard. A friend of mine advised me to
push the car hard so that the car will adapt to rough driving style. For
info, I used to drive wira 1.3 for 7 years and I really push it very
hard. It can reach 140 km/hr with no pain (always done when getting late
to work). It already clock 253,000+ km and thus I decided to let it go.
So, may be my friend advise could be right.
On the ATF thingy, the service advisor told me that they put normal ATF
(similar to Waja) inside the gear box. He assured me it is ok.

1st of all do they know that waja is not CVVT gearbox and lancer is CVVT
gears....even though both using the same engines..? these EON ppl
sometimes cannot take 100% what they say......

Dear All..
I'm driving Lancer GLX since Jan 2006 and already clock about 35K
kilometers. just finish my 3rd service with EON Kuantan three weeks ago..
but until now, never change the ATF fluid coz the service advisor say
that they will change the ATF fluid when reach the 40K kilometers. is it
correct? forgot to refer the Manual Book.
the second thing.. recently i notice some vibration at tyres when doing
normal braking at 130KMH and above.. just like the ABS when we doing the
emergency brake! i'm still using the stock tyres and rims..
fuel consumption very bad when put the pedal above 3000 RPM.. but very
nice when doing below than that!!

Dear Aredy,
According to the service booklet, the ATF supposed to inspected every
service (page E24). But under severe used, the ATF supposed to be
replaced every 40k (page E26). Please read the defination of severe usage
on page E16.
For the vibration, do you balance and rotate the tyres (including
allignment), at least, every 10k?
If you are a commuter, 3000 RPM is around 120 km/hr. If you maintain this
speed, let say from KL to Kuantan, I think, we can get around 8 liter /
100 km or less.
I tried to drive from Ipoh to Alor Star and back to Ipoh at RPM 2000
(speed around 80 - 90 most of the time), and got 7.08 liter / 100 km.
(However, I can see the needle dropped significantly during 2 days town
driving in alor star).
If my wife drive within university compound with a lot of bump for a
month, the FC is around 10-11 liter / 100 km.
So, how bad is your fuel consumption?

Hai Lan,
thanks for the info.. anyway.. did EON really pun the same ATF fluid as
Waja?? If so, that means I need to get the ori mitsu ATF from other shop.
FYI, I've never done either tyre rotation or balancing to my lance since
bought in on Jan 2006. hehe...
about the FC.. i often drive from kuantan to KL (450KM). usually put full
tank (RM70-80) and push the pedal for 140-160KM/H. I must fill up again
when exit the UIA Gombak toll.. comparing to my previous car ( satria GTi
standard), I think my Gti can go more than that with same speed.
