If EVO can be as popular as the Lancer (!) then perhaps the price will
come down..

Original Post : No,it's not Evo..I know an Evo will cost a bomb. It's
called Prototype-X.Hopefully MMM will bring in the Prototype-X next
year.

The Prototype X is the prototype of the Evolution X.

It's a one-off prototype made for the Detroit Motorshow earlier. The Evo
X will be a progressive refinement of that prototype.

Since the last of the GSRs in the mid 90s, there have been no specific
non-Evo Lancer turbo models (or better known as baby Evos). Except for
the odd customised Ralliart Turbo Lancers (in Sg for example).

I haven't heard that a mid-range turbo model will be produced. It would
be nice if Mitsu could restart the GSR models to take on the likes of the
WRX, Golf GTi etc.

The best MMM could offer in the later stage is the light pressure turbo kit
for the GT owner. That would be very super.

Anyone here any idea what rpm is register when cruising at 110km/h? The
altis is approx 2,500 rpm and it's 4 speed auto.

I do hope the GT2.0 would register below but as it is 6 speed CVT.

Cheers!

guym,
I think no one as of now has the answer yet until getting their car
as most of the people during test drive will blast all the way to test
the performance.

Hi All,

Since I first posted my test drive report 2 weeks ago, I've been trying
to get hold of a test drive session with a 2.0 Civic to have a direct
comparison. Unfortunately I not been able to do so because the showrooms
i've been to, either refuse to offer test drives for the 2.0 or do not
have a test drive unit!

They do offer 1.8's which after driving one was pretty disappointing. So
without being able to evaluate the Civic 2.0, I have to apologize that
cannot give everyone here a a comparison drive with the Civic. If there
is anyone here who can recommend a Honda showroon (in PJ or Cheras) area
please let me know.

When test driving the lancer gt, the rpm was below 3,000 rpm @ 120kmph..
i think it was around 2,500 rpm..
