I'm thinking of buying 2nd hand Pajero.
Balik kampung with wife & 3 children, enough space for luggage. Unload
luggage & can take parents (+5 of us) to town. Can go off-road for picnic
or other activities (fishing / cycling). But my friend said fuel
consumption very high, not worth it. Can anyone advise?Smile

bro...pakai NGV bro murah!my father bought a 1999 pajero....and he use
NGV...damm jimat bro...but the downside is pick up ada kurang skit
lah...apart from that no prob...cuma parts mahal sikit dan kena chosie
sket bila beli barang kt kedai spare parts atau kedai potong.

My dad using a 1997 2.4(M). JB-KL-JB you'll need to pump RM200. To me its
on the high side. But its a damned reliable 4wd. 11yrs never break down
b4. Only change once on the rear power window. Super lasting suspension.
Good choice. ThumbUp

Oh forget to tell you. My dad do change the air-con compressor last year.
Whole service cost about Rm1500. Might includes some other spareparts.
This 4wd he bought at RM116K in 1997, now I think only worth about RM30K?
But he'll never sell it. Cheers.

ya, a good choice as the value drop tremendously.

My 2.4 petrol cost me 136k back in 2001. now may be ~50k.

But surely a reliable vehicle.

Get a 3.5 V6(1995-97) if you do not mind the petrol. Japan CBU. Max on
meter is 180km/h. but is more powerful than 3.0 V6.

Big CC vehicle not necessary to be a good drinker. Small CC vehicle could
be a very good drinker.Big Smile Easily can name a few.

sorry to say 3.5 V6 (1997)is a drinker too. Experience with my friend 3.5
V6.

But the body of Pajero contains more steel. Knock it and feel it :-)

2001 or 2002 3.0 V6 V43 cost around 50k. The highest depreciation among
all models, compared to V34/V31/V44.

Try to avoid the V73 3.5. (1999 onwards). Mostly brought in by USF last
time
