Never owned a Datsun but my family's Corolla KE20 and Corolla EE80 have
been very reliable. I've heard good things from a friend about his dad's
Corolla KE30 too.

We also have a 1967 VW Beetle and, yes, it is very reliable too.

With respect, Irohazaka, not every car is reliable even if taken good
care of.

Mercedes Benz W123

Still plenty on the road after 30 years

Suspension is solid, the shock absorber can last 10 years!

My vote probably will go to the Toyota Corolla KE30 and the Isuzu Trooper.

DAtsun 120Y. Mine still running strong after 25 years. Outlasted my
Protons, Mazda (nothing wrong with the 323 though) and the odd KElisa
(transferred to my mum). I swear the damn thing handles like an old 3-
series Beemer, after all both 120y and beemers are rear wheel drive. This
is the car that has seen me through Kindergarten till now. What can I say,
its like part of the family. Very susah to let go.
