My vote goes to Mazda Familia and its cousin car, the Astina
I did own a Datsun 120Y [1976 model] and I don't think it was a reliable car. Many components had failed within the first 5 years and the body started to corrode [floor board, pillars, boot...] after 5 years
To talk about 120Y, the reliability is mostly based on it not having many electronic control components [like IC control distributor and ignition coil] while in the case of the Mazda Familia [1991 model] those electronic components are still working well after 18 years in service [I am still driving my Familia and Astina cars]
