Maybe Russian and Yugo car may not be good but maybe very cheap 30K
only... then it is good value also....

Met one Thai recently. About 28 years old. I asked her what car she
drives in Thailand... she said Altis. She said common car only.. taxi use
Altis also.... and here most of us cannot afford Vios....

Agree with zulahmad58,

You guys are all brainwashed or totally brain dead. Pathetic human being at best.

Honda City looks like a toad also you want to buy.

A not much better entry car like "VIOS I don't want" also you are willing to pay an arm an two legs for.

No wonder you all have to have to keep saying to yourselves I have the best car for sure. after all the money you spent for a "better" car. Yeah go the quality....

salahuaw> so what do you suggest? is the Gen 2 a much better quality
alternative to the likes of Vios and City?

gregy,

I totally agree with you. Don't let the 88 hp rating of the i-DSi fool
you... the very efficient CVT ensures very minimal power loss to the
transmission. On the other hand, for a standard 4AT you have to expect a
15-20% power loss at least. So the 88 hp i-DSi would have the same on-road
performance as another car with about 100hp engine power. On top of that,
the i-DSi's torque also peaks at low rpm... so standing-start acceleration
is definitely good.

I know lar.... last week had a traffic light drag with this City i-DSi
RS.... although my Getz 1.6A managed to surge in front by about 1 car
length once the lights turned green, the City somehow managed to keep pace
until we reached about 100-110 km/h, when he started slacking (or maybe he
doesn't want to break the speed limit?).

Definitely much better acceleration compared to the Vios or the Gen2ThumbUp

AE101,

No lar.... no way the City i-DSi can beat your AE101. CVT or whatever, it
is still a slushbox tranny. No way it can beat a stickshifter like your
AE101, especially in the hands of a skilful driver like yourselfThumbUp.

Even my Getz 1.6A will get smoked 9 by your AE101(M)larBlush.
