yeap, that was the comparo that a S'poren magazine "Torque" did..and the
overall winner was the Toyota Vios..
and the comment on the Gen. 2? "build quality the suspect","plasticky
interior"..
gosh, there's already 3 Gen. 2 in my neighbourhood!

A better comparison is City VTEC with VIOS and Gen2. Since the IDSI engine
suck big big time compared to Vios and even worse if compared to CAMtakPRO
110hp!
One thing Honda really done right to make the City really nice for "city
driving" is the CVT gear. Damn syok!!

these car comparos should be taken with loads of salt. the comparo
reviewers also have their own agendas dictated by the publishers (of
course they will deny it until they turn blue!!) The publishers play to
the tune of their pay masters, i.e. the advertisers, and for you guys to
play right into their hands by quoting their reviews without some prior
thinking makes you a pathetic human being at best...

So the conclusion is, if there's a good Gen2 review you know the editor
is corrupt? He'd ######ing have to be, either that or he/his staff are
incompetent.

Not everyone will decide to buy a car based on reviews alone, but in this
case it is the Vios for me.
Is this comparo really fair, I mean for Toyota and Honda? The Gen2 is
1.6L, bigger and so much cheaper. The Gen2 should win hands down, but it
didn`t. Any wonder why Proton is losing market share?

Gen 2 bigger? In what terms?
Cabin space? That goes to City.
Top speed? That should belong to the Vios, but only above 140kmh. Below
that the three should be quite close.
So the only thing Gen 2 has that is bigger, is cubic capacity and
probably a bigger petrol bill.
