Dear all

Yes, finally got my Aveo last night.

For those Aveo buyers, can you confirm whether there is a cover for the
Detachable Cover of the Clarion Radio CD Player?

Thanks!

Just got my Aveo last week. According to the dealer, there is no cover
supplied for the detachable faceplate of the CD player.

Dear clh406

congrats on your new car! how long did you have to wait for it? have you
enlisted yourself in our "banci of chevy owners"?

as for the radio, yes you are right. i have also checked with HcMb and
they said it is due to it being an OEM version!

Regards.

aachin,

thanks! got it after 2 months. i've enlisted in the "banci".

btw, regarding the alarm system, did your dealer hand over any alarm key
to disable the alarm ? this is necessary in case the battery goes flat and
we need to reset the alarm etc. my previous alarm system (cobra) had keys
to deactivate the alarm. the dealer has not got back to me yet.

Hi,

I don't think there is a special key to disable the alarm.

To disable the alarm if the remote is not working, I thought you just need
to insert the car key and turn it to "ON" position and press a hidden
button under the dashboard.

not quite sure on that job. but i would like to ask the SC next time i
am there.

with regards to the cd player. clarion is quite a high end brand, if i
am not mistaken. my normal car audio accessories shop told me just to
insert tweeters in front and at the rear, should you wish to.

try that first?

regards.
