I getting know from Suzuki Jln Maarof,Bangsar.
A malay SA told me the OTR price is around RM67.
Anyone heard before?
but,i guess the OTR would be around RM77/78( VIOS price ).

The SA from Tm Connaught asked me to booking & 100% refund me if the OTR
not satisfy.
look like he very confidence for the price will be lower than RM70k.
becoz he know my budget is less than RM70k.

dun need to rush booking I think. RM67k is still "kinda" expensive for a
supermini. I advised to wait for it to launch first and see how's the QC
like 1st.

So the rumors are quite accurate. It can't be just coincidence that more
than 1 dealer is quoting under 70k for the car.

At that price, it'll put a dent in everyone's sales. Including the Chevy
mega bargain. After all, we can finally buy a TRUE Jap/Euro hatch. Not some
tomyam car for 3rd world countries.

Another rumor is that SMA will be making a few MANUAL versions...my cash is
on those if they do come out.

malaysian mudah lupa... asal murah sikit cepat2 kaut. cheap sales! cheal
sales! mali... mali...

this is some kinda market test. if lots of people agreed and book at that
price, i can simply say harga luntuh ma... mari mulah mulah.

if we the consumer stop buying and show our purchase power, can you image
what can they offer you? imagine la.. this is not cartoon story. consumer
right and power. nobody stop what consumer want. you help them determine
the price (reasonable price so called that is so unreasonable), you pay for
it la... simple maths

push them harder la friend. if proton can do harga runtuh, why can other
car dealers?

-----------

Prozac51, the tomyam cars you mentioned, e.g. Aveo is also sold as Aveo in
the USA. The Chevy Optra is sold as Suzuki Forenza in the USA, Holden Viva
in Australia and NZ, and is pretty much sold in Europe and around the
world. Are you calling those countries 3rd world countries?

supermini. Lets' think bout tis, if u got family would u still consider
Swift. I think Swift is for 2nd car for a family or for guys who still
single.

Does Swift comes wit manual gearbox in Jap. Swift auto for me is not very
convisin'

Hey,

Lets accept the fact. This is the Bolehland. How can you get supermini car
so cheap.. if you compare the car specification.
Gov is still protecting our P1 and P2.
No way you can buy a new car with the price..

If you guys follow on the news on swift CKD in M'sia. I am sure you will
impress.. the plant is using robotic assembly tool.

Just hope the final product will be as good as the CBU from Japan

Those own P1 car before knew the quality..I dare not to buy anyone P1
car...regret forever..

Just my comments

we have been hoping for too long for proton to achieve the same. how is
proton doing? do you think this time around they can do wonders? i cross my
finger but i would like to reserve my statement. i'll them the benefit of
the doubt them. see first.

anyway, i wont get any commission to support them but to have more hope
that we can get the same benefit like other developed countries. where
receptionist can drive a sedan whilst executive like me just drive a small
car to work. they can afford to pay a good car with less taxes... think deeper

I have waiting for the CKD to come out, not that I want to buy the the CKD
but I am wanting to buy the 2005 model!. The price for imported 2005 model
will drop because the CKD is cheaper!. I am looking at around 52K for
2005.Evil
