my comment on performance, you dude go and test drive the car. no power
aarr??? when i said test drive the car, go and really hantam the pedal. you
know how to drive ka? old lady drive and sporty drive is not the same ma!

try pedal the car to the floor and you know what i mean. and dont press
nicely. STEP ON IT lor! i dont even need to explain what kinda power suzuki
can do for you. off course it wont give you a 2.0 kinda torque but it
really amaze me.

i am not the owner and i do complaint suzuki too but my comment about swift
is sincere. owner must agree with me about this matter.

and to those who had never experience this before better find it out soon
(atleast once) or you'll loose the feeling drivin your swift. or shall i
say you better trade it with something else...

bro cactiva,no point losing your breath explaining to them, only those who
drove and own swift will know how it feels like to drive swift.
i totally agree with you since i start commenting about this topic but
not everyone knows how to get the power fr a car unless they really
accelerate.
most car now are using intelligent engine that is why now days got i-vtec
la... vvti la...vvt la.. and so on.this type of car will learn your
driving style by keeping data inside the memory install so if you drive
like sissy the car will give you sissy speed la... unless you want to
drive like a man then the power will reveal itself once you ask by what
bro cactiva keep saying by hantam the pedal bcoz this car only 1.5l i
said again only 1.5l not 2l or 2.3l so point of communication between you
and engine is the pedal when you need the power.haiya.... nak laju tapi
takut2 bawak kereta then how...

If buy for 2nd car then u wun consider the car going high-end speed
exceeding 140kph must be an important factor.

The main thing is...:
1) What's the FC in town driving?
2) Pick-up from 0-100kph better than Myvvi, Wira, City IDSI or Vios??

Swift 1.5A is a pretty light car is not mistaken 1000kg for a 1.5cc 100hp
engine..dun tell me pick-up ala Myvvi and FC as high as any 1.6cc car
weighting 1170kg-1205kgs?

Feedback from owners pls..

I'm quite satisfy with Swift's acceleration. Just press the pedal down to
the floor, then you'll get its real performance.

yes, swift acceleration is good, although there's a slight deadband between
60-80kmh. Otherwise the car is fine. This is car is best driven fast, even
for the "101bho only" 1.5 auto.

But recently I ketuk kepala knowing that 1.6 swift sport manual is selling
for RM97k OTR! A difference of only RM8k over the bog standard 1.5 auto.
Damn suzuki malaysia why you sell those swift sport too late, not when I
bought my swift a year ago?

Premier 1.5 auto only sell at Rm7xK.
u bought at Rm89K. CBU?

1.6l at 97K is expensive if u compare with Lancer GT 2.0.

Well, i think only hardcore racer will choose SS over Lancer GT becoz of
the manual transmission available.

U cant do foot work on Lancer coz AT; play with the gear n rev to redline
(yes, lancer can but for a long period of time; the CVT over heat and loss
it efficiency...bad luck u might damage your gearbox too as heat kills A/T
gearbox); do burn out on your front tyre; have max fun on the twisted road
coz shorter wheel base so can easy control at tight road...

The maintence coz will be lower as Lancer 2.0L road tax (rm 700~800+/year)
much higher compare to 1.6L which only Rm 90/year if not mistaken (pls
correct me if I'm wrong;thx); 18inch tyre kills your pocket compare to 16"

Most of all, get labeled as "pocket rocket" which fast on urban
road..especially heavy traffic where u can zip zap into open space.

Well, this wat i think lah...but as always sure some1 said they are
different class; should compare apple to apple...but now we looking value
for $$$ factor. Both carry sport spirit but i think SS out shine Lancer more..

Well, I haven't test drove the Lancer GT, so I couldn't comment on how the
car compares with SS, however I'm pretty sure they're in different league,
and not even in the same ballpark. But so far, the rating of SS have been
favourable, with it ranking second to VW Golf Gti for hot hatch category. I
mean, Golf Gti is such a good car, so there must be something there. Fifth
Gear Tiff Niddle also comment positively on SS, esp. with relations to its
price and performance.

Lancer GT comes with lots of performance parts if u look clearly at the
car.. It's a Sports Sedan comes with large diameter cum ventilated
discs..standard 18in rims.. there are ample room to tune up the engine as
its the base engine for EvoX. U cant compare a car of different league.
if u are within that budget and prefer a Sports sedan then that will be
the car...but Swift is more like a sports hatch.

As for Tiff in Fifth gear actually raced that Swift with a scooter and it
lost! That car is a 92hp 1.3 manual..though handling looks neat but
scooter lagi cepat.
