I was told by one of the service centre that changing the rims from
185/60/15 to 205/45/16 will viod the driveshaft, suspension warranty
because of adding extra stress to the driveshaft and the entire
suspension. But as far to my concern, the Swift Premier is using
205/45/17, is the Swift Premier using different driveshaft and its
quality is far better than the normal driveshaft?

just my opinion....
the distributor/dealer/service centre are good in finding excuses to get
away from serving the warranty...
if u care to look into manual, the clause to void warranty is very
general and can be inteprated in many ways... so, to avoid and dispute,
just run on stock during the warranty period as u cant get the best of
both worlds at the same time
if u really dare to modify/using aftermarket products then u must dare to
swallow the bitterness of warranty claims...

I wonder if anybody realizes that the stock Swift is shod with 185/60/15
tyres. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this is a
'standard' tyre size that they sell in the Malaysian market as normally
they sell either 185/60/14 or 195/60/15 since a majority of the cars here
use these sizes. I'm not one who fancies changing the standard rims to low
profiles so I hope it won't be a problem getting the stock tyre size when
the time comes. Just a concern....

some had his one of the tyres punctured and cant be patched... ended up
replacing all 4 as the matching size is not available.

changing to 195/60/15 on the factory rims should be okay, right? I guess
one could change in pairs and would not pose a problem.
