looking at the attached thread, i find it disturbing that AW does not choose to archive important information that is a valuable commodity to auto enthusiasts and AW itself. perhaps it is time that AW decides to incorporate an engine whereby readers can upload and store advise and other readers can rate the advise posted according to accuracy and usability. with this, repeated questions can be avoided. does AW not realize, if it databases all the really useful info posted in the forum and provides an engine where a user can search for any particular bit of useful auto info, the value of AW is increased tenfold???

Was searching for a old topic (unsuccessful), when it lead me to this thread..
I agree that AW should inform users when they are going to archive and take off old topics off the server, so that we can have time to copy and store important threads ourselves. Some of the topics discussed before have really excellent information value.
I am sure the original poster would really loath to re-post and repeat themselves should a newcomer come in and ask the same questions again. In turn, the newcomer may feel that the forum is not beneficial since he/she may not be getting any response from other forumners and leave to elsewhere...
