My forfour now have 34k km. I have done 2 service. One at 3k and one at 19.5K. Next one have another 8k to go.

I intently did the 3K service because the engine is new and being an old school driver, I just opts to do the lube job. I could have done it at 20k, but that just me.

And for those who know nothing but like to speculate, the ForFour does not even uses TIMING BELT!!!!!!

Its on timing chain so nothing for you to change or service at!
The brake pad and oil filter is also from Proton. The service at RM500+ is because mainly the 4.5~5L of full syn oil. That easily cost you 300+! Oil filter, misc will be about RM70. Coupled with labor at RM120-140. That sound about right for a Mercedes center.

You can opts to do it on your own or other SMART center and you will save about RM100+ off! And that is for every 20K, for some that is 14-18 months of driving!

I wonder how much their Vios/City/Proton charge for every 5k km? And if any repair done at their center come with 2yrs warranty each time like Smart or Mercedes?

I think 500 is a fair price! Judging from the engine oil alone, a mineral oil with lifespan of 5000km vs fully syn at 20000...the price is comparable. And whatsmore, the intangible benefits... smile.gif

Anyhing else that the Smart 4/4 shares with Proton...wheel bearing. Mine is abit noisy at the moment. CC only sells the whole unit with the axle. I believe the bearings can be pumped out for replacement.

Can anyone here recommend a reliable mechanic for the SmartF4? Thanks in advance!
