Seeking opinions for best tyres:

First of all, I have no prior knowledge in tyre brands, types etc for bikes.
In fact, I have not so much knowledge in bike parts or specs. All I do was start the engine and ride.
Currently own an EX5 (year 96). Been using it to commute to work daily (approx. 15 km round trip).
My rear tyre now is already botak. It runs out of thread quite fast as compared to last time. Last change was I think 6-8 months ago. Oh yeah, I don't skid or drift (!) a lot!
I was quoted for RM45-RM50 for new "similar" tyre (TT100?).
Was also quoted for a brand new (feralli?) with different thread for RM58.
Can't really tell the difference since most mechanics speak in their own language (this xxx is good, this yyy is better etc).
Was told by a friend that you can get one for RM30+ normally. Felt cheated.
Hoping to get some useful feedbacks from you guys here on type/brand of tyre to choose from for both rear and front tyres (in future). Price range & shop list are very much appreciated.

the most suitable tyre for EX5 is TT100 in my opinion, it last longer if u
apply it wif correct presure(back-32psi, front-28psi), normally u can get
it at RM48, and may be some place will get cheper, in the other topic we
have discuss this issue! check it there to know more opinion on tyre. i
saw the feralli oledi, no comment on it, never try b4!

for ur knowledge of bike, seem u r riding ex5, u can post any problem u
wanna know at the EX5 club (another topic to discuss about EX5)!

Thanks LanEVoX. I'll check out the thread later.
Neway, By any chance the bike's tyre will suffer "absorber wounds" just
like car tyres?
FYI, My brother changed ONE side of the absorber to the non-ori one 4
years back while another side remains original. Will that affect the
handling? Both seems to have same damping rate, adjustable (physically,
not by calculation!). How long does the shock absorbers (rear/front) of
EX5 lasts? Should I change it yearly if I ride the bike nearly everyday,
means that 365 days per year? I'm not too sure for bikes since the
absorbers my 4-wheeler is changed, like once in two years or so.
Thanks again for the imput.

how come ur bro change i side only, the absober not come by a pair meh?
the ori and non-ori is different, how come the mechanic change like that??
if nothing happen then should be ok kua...

about how long the absober last a? mine one change after 7 years after
using! depend how u use ur absober oso, if u loaded all the time, then u
should change to a more stiff one, the ori is not suitable!
if normal use, should depend to ur absober la, if u see oil is coming out
from the stuff then is time to change!
