Have just done the first 1000km service at Moto Milia. They changed the
engine oil, gear oil and another item (tak ingatlah..), total cost RM70.
I also added the Aprilia top box which cost RM340 (sama je cam Givi punya
box except more expensive ;( ... ).

So far I am enjoying the bike to the extent that I am looking forward to
go to work. Suspension, brakes and of course acceleration better than my
former ride. The only gripe I have with it is that starting susah sikit.
Elegan sekali tekan je terus start, la ni nak kena pulas sikit baru start.

How much did you pay for this scooter? I really like the design. You pay
cash or what?

xda2,

With a beauty like that, it's no wonder why you look forward going to
work! Maybe I should also get one to cut down on my "emergency leaves"!.
Getting stuck in an hour plus jam daily can be real demotivating you know!

Anyway,I am made to understand that the Sportcity comes in 2 versions,
your 200cc as well as its smaller brother the 125cc rite? Do you have any
info on the price? How much and where did you get your beauty from?

Now that your "pantang" period is over, perhaps yuou could update us on
the top speed as well as the ability travelling long distance on your
scoot ok. I've been contemplating on getting a Blade 250 but finances are
not really in favour. Perhaps this is a better buy? I have been reading
up on the other forumers and their Modenas Elegan, that seems a good buy
as well.

Looking forward to your input though bro xda2!

-Cheers-

Thank you for the compliments. The traffic jams was the main reason that
I took up biking. Since riding to work, my stress level has gone way down.

Only 200cc is available in Malaysia. Yes Elegan is a good bike, it was my
former scoot before the sportcity.

Aprilia Sportcity 200 is RM15,317.30, DP $5317.30, loan $10,000, monthly
$266.67. I paid cash for mine sebab malas nak tunggu.

Scarabeo 200 is $22,529.30, Atlantic 200 is $21,818.80.

I was tempted by the Scarabeo too initially but it is a bigger bike with
the same engine as the Sportcity. Susah sikit nak mencelah waktu traffic
jam.

xda2...thanks for the info...

I believe that 266.67 per month is for 4 years payment. Is that loan
provided by Moto Milia? I'm in love with this scoot...but have to see my
financial as well...my car still has 4 years to settle.

So far no problem right...with your sportcity...what is the top speed?

The loan is by Public Bank at 7%. Lowest for bike loans I think as others
are doing it at 10%. Actually, I paid for mine using credit cards then do
balance transfer, get 4.95% but max is only 36 months.

The only slight issue with the bike is that starting is not as easy as
Elegan. Kena pulas minyak sikit. Other than that so far all OK. Oh and
minor fogging in the indicators on the dash ???

Top speed so far 120km/h, meter max at 160 km/h. Wind buffeting is high
lagipun tak beranilah bang, lesen baru, skill tak cukup...

If you are ditching driving for riding, do it. For me its really worth
the effort.

xda2,

Thanks for the info. The price is some what close to the blade. Since you
had the Elegan previously, how does it compare to the Sportcity? I
suppose that the Sportcity is more nimble in traffic? Do keep us posted
on your beauty.

Enjoy your ride to work dude!

-Cheers-

That is a smart move..pay by credit card and balance tranfer to another
card...never thought of that!!
