Hi everybody,

Just to start a new topic to only concentrate on problems and issues.

ENGINE SWITCH OFF PROBLEM (September 2007, 1,400 km)
----------------------------------------------------
DESCRIPTION: Happens during hard braking and/or at slope (so far, only
downhill).
As of now, it happens both when FUEL GAUGE is low and FULL; hence my
believe it's not the fuel level, but more to the caburator having issues or
design fault (position).
FIX/WORKAROUND: Do not brake so hard : ) - btw, after the engine is OFF,
don't panic... you can restart the engine in a couple of seconds.

supposedly it resets a counter. Meaning u tekan, pastu after 3000 km (dunno
what the number really is) oil change light akan pasang. then once you
service, then tekan jelah button tu, dia reset for the next 3000 km.

Hehehhehe rasanya lah!

btw, kalau basuh motor jer sure hujan. tension

i'll "tekan jelah button tu" when i send my GTS for service tomorrow. What
is yr mileage reading mike?

my advice: tak yah ler cuci moto engkau tu ... dah nak dkt Raya ni... nnt
hujan hari2 engkau jugak yg susah nak balik kampung.

To all muslim... I would like to wish u guys "Selamat Hari Raya". Do lock
yr bike when you go for balik kampung...

Anyway, to clarify the problem. So far, it has happened TWICE.
Once is Fuel at 2 bars and going down slope with hard braking
2nd time was Fuel at FULL and hard braking on level ground

Ha ha ha - good point...

Problems is ...
1st time - engine idle was 2,000 rpm
2nd time - after Liong set it to 1,500 rpm
Not convinced it's related to idle speed ... i could be wrong, but not likely.
