The "passing" button" is to high beam your headlights when you want to
quick flash on-coming vehicles. It's a useful button.

It's equilvalent to cars, we we flash our headlights to on-coing vehicles
for speedtraps, to slow down or give way.

Daf,

We're all learning from each other, it's good to be part of this forum.

Since you've services your scooter, can you share the details of the 1st
service (oil, free labor? spark plug?) and the cost. Thanks! My 500km
service will be due soon.

wongv98...for first service. change engine oil and gear oil, cost me rm
34. 24 for the oils and rm 10 for service(I forgot to bring my free service
card else it should be rm 24)..
tested on penang bridge last nite.. reach 115 km/hr but chicken out.. wind
cause it not to be stable...
the mechanic suggested not to use synthetek oil due to engine oil needs to
be change every 2000km. standard engine oil is semi synthetek

today motor cannot start.. dunno why? *&#*!^$&@%# have to drive to work...
called service center ask them to fix..

Daf,

Ha h ah ah ........ you must have pushed your bike too hard-lah over the
bridge, she needs a rest. I believe after 500kn running-in, you should
keep it 1/2 full throttle and below. Anyway let the service centre
figure out the problem.

Thks for the info, ok will go with the normal engine oil (SAE 10-30W I
remember reading in the manual)

I did the opposite today, I took the bike instead of the car to work.
Traffic in KL this week has been really bad so it was a pure joy passing
the bumper-to-bumper car queue all the was from Jln Damansara, Semantan,
Parlimen, Raja Chulan and Sultan Ismail. Yes I work smack right in the
heart of the city!

Elegan Riders,

I was riding yesterday evening when my fuel meters droped from the last
bar into empty. Immediately the empty warning started flashing.

Do you know how much reserve fuel is there avaialable? Or on average how
more kilometeres can the fuel last before it rums totally empty?

Master Wong & others,

I realised that the empty flashing starts at early stage. I've face
that problem and when refuelling.. it just can fill 6.7 l! On easy
calculation, it still has 2.0 litre in it. My odometer only shows
246km when I'm refuelling. I think have to wait till the
'berpantang' periods ends to check the accuracy.
I've also learning about the fill-in-your-own-tank 'kungfu'.
Definately cant use the single stand or else the oil will spark
even if it just 1/2 of the pump gun & beextra careful. U should
use double stand and not sitting on the bike though while
refuelling.
I also manage to take more confortability while cornering. It's
good ride when u knew your Elegan better. The problem now is
just have to bear with this 70km per hour hahahaha *evil grins
from the cub chai that passing me by*.. "That's all u can do on
your bike bile meh?"

Yup, anyone know how much is the downpayment and monthly fee for Elegan
right now?

Just wondering, for small guys like me, is it ok to ride an elegan or
should I move to smaller scooter like Elit 150?

Darn, dunno it could be this hard to find your dream-scoot these days..
Soo many choices lor..
