i believe Ex-5 still better then the new Wave 100 as it's lighter.

Honda is very well known to have best FC. Like my Wave 125. Fuel tank size
is 3.7L..approx Rm5 fulltank..can last me around 150km i think

dfendy,
My bike is promblematic since day one i bought..it's 8 months old now

Problem was first after 1 week plus ride, headlight cover got sound...went
back Jln Ipoh Boon Siew Honda complaint...they talk rubish.

My 1st 1000km service i didn't go back to them instead i went back to the
shop i bought the bike...and they using Shell engine oil instead of
Castrol which "sponser" Honda.

Later i found my engine noisy and gear hard to engage. So when come to
2500km service i finally went back to Boon Siew Honda..they said why i
didn't go back during 1st service (which i doesn't know WHY IS A MUST)
like that all Proton cannot service outsite MUST go back Glenmarie lah [:
(!] they claimed i use different brand engine oil and make engine noisy.

They then retarded my valve gab, clutch for 2 -3 times (i went back 2-3
times make noise) After 2-3 ride again, the sound came back

When come to 3000km time my headlight cover make noise again.

My recent 3500km service i suppose go back let them reopen all the cover
and tighten the screw but i did since the more the open the more the screw
screw up or might get loose...so i just have to bear with it and ignore
it...and i went to the shop i bought my bike change engine oil (only)..to
Shell Semi Sync (Bike come with Mineral Castrol > Shell Mineral/Semi Synth
> Castrol Mineral > Shell Semi Synth (now))

One more thing...for no reason my choke line jam after my 1000km and later
found that carburator cap that cover the choke line went missing, water
went it cause it rusty and jam, at first the stupxd Boon Siew Honda wanna
cut a rubber to close it back but a customer from the service center
suggest me to complaint and demand for a new carburator (as the cover
doesn't come in seperately)

So they finally replace a new carbutator for me (during the retarding of
the cover screw time.

As for today my bike clocking around 3550km and funny thing is after this
3500km service with Shell Semi Syth oil 20-50w (previous all 15-10w) now
the bike alot smooth and more power...all the mech did told me bike need
to be above 2000-3000km only start got power.

Overall i am consider ok with the bike (ignore all the problem) as it's
good FC (all Honda or Wave 125) famous with good FC but power wise its
still not as power as other smaller CC bike like Ex5,Wave100, Lagenda110
due to Wave 125 have heavy body (but stable)...

My top speed so far is 90-100km/h only...i never try full throttle it.

well... ur case almost the same as my friend have, his using previous wave
100, his problem on the gearbox, having sound then leaking here, leaking
there, after that sudden problem, he don't bother on the bike, just belasah
jalan, put a petrol, then run. No limit time on changing the engine oil,
even 1 year ++ didn't wash the bike, only natural wash when rains come

yeah... just went to normal bike shop to service the bike, have some cit
chat, the guy said u can get sport rims around RM110, wahhh so cheap ka?

anyway last week already make a record, i can travel about 200km in a tank
of EX5, daily travel from BT 5 gombak to TPJ subang, once full tank within
3 days can travel. The fuel meter just above the "E" sign, below the red
line, in the tank still have some fuel

even average speed 70 ~ 80km still can maintain the low FC, how about u guy
that using EX5 ?
