Signaling

are about to make a turn. When you DON'T signal, it is akin to inviting
people to crash into you, either from the side, rear, or even front. Yet,
many Malaysian drivers do NOT signal!
Why is this? Could it be because they are lazy to pull the stick up or
down when they want to turn? Or they don't care if other people know if
you're turning or not? Not their business what.
Whatever reason it is, it's bewildering to see so many Malaysians drivers
refusing to signal.
And that's the people who don't signal. There are also people who signal.
Good for them. But the people I'm referring to are people who signal WHEN
IT'S TOO LATE. What for you signal after you're already in the lane?!?
Signal BEFORE you turn lah!
The important thing to know is WHEN to signal and signal when that moment
comes.
Thank you for reading my rant.

To be honest i'm not sure it'sds limited to just Malaysia. I heard of
research being done in the US where people's cars in a particular county
wre fitted with various colour lights one each for Sorry & Thanks.
It proved quite successful, as a fad but i remember the comment from the
driving magazines that went along the lines of "Driver's don't even Signal
NOW, what use are more lights?"

Mirror - Check behind and to the sides, including blind spots.
Signal - To indicate your intent to carry out a turn.
Manoeuvre - Only if it is safe to do so AND without inconveniencing
other road users, complete the act of changing direction.
It's not supposed to work the OTHER way.
Manoeuvre - Do whatever you feel with no regard for anyone else.
Signal - Justifies what you have just done.
Mirror - See who you have just ran off the road.
Way TOO many people think that a turn signal allows them to do what they
want and everyone else has to obey! This ISN'T a young driver problem.

were amusing to read. Sometimes I DO feel that way, when somebody
ACTUALLY gives way even though he didn't have to, I feel like really
going out of my way to thank him/her and a light like that would help
I usually just get by with just waving though

poor visibility conditions, such as heavy rain.
How do you signal a turn or lane change if both signal lights are blinking
all the time? I'd guess people who do this are also the same ones who
never use turn signals.

stationary. it is a warning signal as opposed to an indicator signal. the
radio stations have advised so many times that motorists not use the
hazard lights during heavy rain, but many still do it. most of the time, i
noticed that it has chain effect. one person start to do it, and then
everyone else follow.

agree...indicating with signal is not a god given right to move..its a
REQUEST to the cars on the lane that you wish to cut in!!!
But of course, we have champions that accelerate at the sight of the
signal..its like a red flag!!!!..pun intended
sigh...these habits wont change in my life time..thats a fact
cheers
