HI Guys,
Can you rate Schumacher...I'm thinking of purchasing it. Currently I am
using Serpent Impulse... Just wanna try something with different brand. I
have been into this hobby less than 6 months so need the Sifu out there to
rate this Schumacher as I am also interested in the NEw 705...
Thanks

To me the Schumacher looks like the Thunder Tiger design. But then again,
it only had one international outing in Florida at the Winternats where it
took 2nd or 3rd placing if I'm not mistaken. In my opinion, it may be good
luck. Only time will tell. Take your pick.
How much is the Schumacher selling for? Is there a distributor for this
car? What about spare parts support?

Thanks for your reply. There is a distributor at Selayang Mall with lots
of spares, no worries. They can give me around 1300 which I can also get
from madam 705 the same price.
This morning 23/5 I test drive this car at Titiwangsa with 3port Rossi
Engine gold casing heatsink and a foam tyre. The handling was superb ..to
me.
Even the sharp cornering I still can punch without any wheels spinning..

The reason why you are able to punch the throttle and yet not have the
wheels slip is because your front and rear diffs are set loose. The diffs
will slip like mad and instead of going fast, you actually loose power to
the diffs slipping. You may think that the car is going fast because the
car rear end will not slip. That's all.
That is why throttle control is important. You save fuel by using correct
throttle control technique and yet be able to put all the power down to
the wheels without the car being loose. The trick to this also boils down
to car setup which is the setting of the diffs. Not too loose.
I'm not too sure about the Schumacher if it has ball diffs or the more
robust gear diffs. But if it is anything like the NTC3, a loose ball diff
will be a nightmare to maintain if you constantly punch the throttle
coming out of corners...

Thanks for the tips. I think the Schumacher have aluminium diff...I am not
sure about TC3..see the homepage! Infact I was driving with 3 port but not
5 port. I think there will be a lots of different 3 ports and 5 ports as
I've been driving with 5 ports now. So is it a good buy then..something
new to try out.
I am looking forward to enter the TV3 carnival race at Ipoh, I think 8th
June. Most of our club members will enter the race. We have a club in
Taiping (TRC) and normally we will play behind Kamunting Express bus
terminal car park , infact we built our own track. Looking forward to
enter the race and try out the schumacher. Up to date only 5 people have
been using the R12 Schumacher, 2 in Ipoh and 3 in KL...if I'gonna to buy
it I will be the 6th person..and now I'm in between either 705 or this R12.

I have not play with this car before but i have a close look to this
car. The chasis look great with good quality built-in. Graphite if i am
not mistaken. The design quite similler to scumacher "mission" electric
car. The prokits version. Basically nothing has to be upgraded because
every single parts are well in design and good quality material.
one special things about this car is the transmission gear. something
specal at this part where other rc do not. So far still not very clear
about the feature but need to ask the owner, am i right "ctdrc". So far do
you know mamage to harverst the feature of this car? I will leave this
question ti him.
