just got bite with rc...waah cannot tahan. always
wanna play. right now thinking to modify it to make it
more faster but would like D.I.Y. anybody care to
share the diagram.

welcome to qd modification....I'am not new in qd
modification....DYI type...my rc now already
upgrade...lagi tak tahan...always want to race...tak
cukup laju, tambah lagi laju...sampai dah habis laju
dah ni...kalau laju lagi body can't carry...need to
upgrade chasis and suspension.

Now I'am using new wiring installation (additional
relay & diode). More powerful and safety. Input
voltage already increase to 30 vdc direct to
motor...think about it je la lajunya camne...3 times
more faster than standard qd...syok gila babos
wo....FYI input to board must remain 9.6v for safety.

Please dont use standard motor...will burnt after 1
minute...pls use johnson 540 motor 12~30 vdc...very
heavy duty...bigger coil...bigger magnet....bigger
carbon brush...internal fan....10,000 rpm w/o load at
30vdc...I have many johnson 540 motor for sale...only
RM 30 each....other good motor is mabuchi rs540sh
motor but very expensive RM 150~....that is no meaning
for same performance as johnson motor...better johnson
motor la...

how did you manage to insert the 540 johnson motor
into original new qida motor holder ? the size for the
motor holder only can fit 280 motor..

u r right inkr...johnson 540 motor is more bigger than
ori qd...that y johnson 540 motor is more
powerful...actually some small modification is need to
fit this motor. very easy job. pls follow this method:-

1) dismantle original motor

2) disassemble gearbox

3) cut both standard motor holder using cutter, knife,
kikir...more easy job using soldering iron.

4) measure the new motor location. the most important
is centre point. shaft hole of previous motor is as a
guideline.

5) centre hole need to modify also. make it more
bigger to fit new motor.

6) make 2 screw hole for motor holder. important is
need to use 'washer'. motor already have 2 screw hole.

7) for copper gear motor just use standard one. take
it out using screw driver after 'panggang' on fire
(dapur gas).

8) copper gear motor need to modify also. drill the
hole to fit ngam2 with new motor shaft. then use glue
special for iron or just use gam gajah.

9) reassemble gearbox.

10)enjoy new performance.

*important!

when u change new motor (johnson 540 motor) u must use
relay & diode for interface. relay & diode will
control power from battery direct to motor. board just
for control +ve & -ve (forward & reverse)signal and
steering. dont take power for johnson motor direct
from board. board will burnt due to johnson 540 motor
using high amp rating, 2Amp.

johnson 540 motor that I mentioned, same as in the
webpage that thailand guys use for QD 1:10 race.They
sell it 8 USD. I sell it for RM 30.00..izit ok! same

btw...the motor is same as in the picture there? then
how am i gonna cabut the thing...the round long thing
to connect to the motor 1? i got 1 damaged qd car...i
try to cabut but cannot...how to cabut can tell me?

Harsher..the round thing is a gear. Can comes off if
your burn it at your dapur lah. Then that is if your
are really in to change your motor. Try it.
