Hi All ,

Recently I busted my trusty Wild Dagger , Nothing serious , just stripped
the main spur gear. But A long wait before I get the parts in ...
Anyone has any off-road electric vehicles in running condition that they
wanna part with.... Monster , Stadium Truck , Buggy .. anything off-
road ..
Just need something for those itchy hands to control during those rare
free times ....Big Smile
Do e-mail with details : uthaya@maxis.net.my

Thanks

The dagger is running again , no parts were replaced ,
just used a different pinnion and a tighter gear mesh to do it.
It only rear wheel drive now ( diff locked ). Does some rock crawling
even.. with just rear wheel drive .. not BAD !..
If I get some videos I'll post it on the net..
Keep me updated on your rock crawler .. pictures .,, even better ..

Loosing sleep over the Tamiya XC chassis ( pajero , isuzu ...) ...
Must get one ,... but do not like to do business with dai sheng ....
will try to source overseas first ...

Good to hear the dagger is running again.. i'll try to take some pics of
my truck later today.. been busy with other things, dont have much time
for the monster truck.. but something did happen last nite.. the hook that
hold my truck gave way.. and the truck came falling down from 6 feet..
OUCHH!!Blackeye luckily everything ok.. except for the battery tray that i
made. Looks like i have to make a new design for the batt tray. Big Smile

Hi Bargump ,

Got the pictures already ? how did the test drive/crawl go ?
I've just put some White LEDs on my Bodyshell ... very cool for night
driving ...Smile.

Did you start anything with the 1/32 Tamiya kit ...
I started something with the same 1/32 tamiya kit ..,,
But its very tough to make it 4WD.. Maybe I will make it a 2WD runner with
the front drive shaft hanging loose .. The 4WD can be the second phase ..

Do you know any machine shop that can make aluminium parts to your
specification ?

By the way , where is a good place to post Pictures on the net ?

Hi dochwira ,

Checked the net for this yokomo kit ..
That is a very high end off-raod racing kit , should be awesome on smooth
off-road tracks ..
But what I was looking for was more for bashing purposes .. which has a
lot of flex in their parts ...tough to break .,, excellent for bashing ..

uthaya,
I managed to snap some pics last nite, will post it in a while.
I haven't run the truck yet.. still without a radio at this moment,
meeting a guy tonite about buying his used radio.

Post a pic of your truck and the mod that u did.. i used www.montypics.com
to host my pics. Try it..

On the 1/32 tamiya kit, i haven't done anything yet, everything is still
stock, need to finish the 1/10 truck first before i start a new project.
To make it 4WD, u have to make a u-joint.. i also wonder how i'm gonna do
it since the thing is so small..Big Smile

If u want to do customize parts, i know a place, don't know the exact
address but i can give u direction to it, it's in serdang raya by the
way.. u familiar with that place? They used to be a good machine shop
(cheaper too..) there but they moved to another place. The new place is ok
la but a bit expensive compared to one that moved away. But overall, it's
still OK.

here's a pic of the truck.

It shows the electronics mounting plate that i made out of Kydex sheet.
That's a LRP F1 Pro Reverse on top of it.

another pic,

The pic shows the link clamp that I made out of 19mmX6.5mm aluminium bar.
The link clamp is the metal piece that holds the shocks and clamps to the
lower link.
