Ok, thanks for the advice. It seems true about what InitialD said, even a
TS4N is a challenger in the last race that i saw, challenging cars like GS
Pro and V1RR, even the Mugen.

But i seems to have made up my mind about the V1RR. So moat, any
suggestion or anything you want to share about the V1RR problem or
advantages? I can get it at RM 1200+ here in JB, how much did u get it in
KL? I don't mind going to KL if it is cheaper there.

Ok, now the Radio Transmitter. I didn't know it is so expensive. The Sanwa
M8 is at RM 1250 and Futaba 3PK at RM 1550. A cheaper one is Sanwa MTX-3
at RM650. What are the difference? I was told that the expensive one got
programmable features for many cars, meaning that if i have 3-4 cars (i
wish) i can use the same transmitter and save the setting for different
cars. OK, what are the programmable is all about? ABS, TCS? All this has
make my mind a little blurry thinking about it. I mean, what is the
difference if i get the MTX3 or the M8? Just the Price? And servo?
Different type? Digital? High Speed? High Torque? Which one is the best
(considering the price to features ratio)? I think i might go for the
MTX3, but is it good enough for competition if i do get into one in the
future? Cheaper in KL or not?

Hope you guys can shed some info on this thing. Thanks.

on the part where u're able to control xx cars with a single tx, in
reality is not feasible. y ? 2 b able to do tat you need to buy 2 servos n
rx. cost 350 x 3 (appx) for all of them = 1050.if u're talking abt the m8
it's only a savings of rm1250 - rm1050 = rm200. wat 4 ? might as well get
then entire set for a mere rm200 extra. u get spare tx, batt etc etc...

i got the v1rr for 1288, dun know how much it is now in kl, try call ampang
race

i dun know much abt the car, 'm running hpi rs43ss now, the kyosho is
waiting for the charger (the v1rr is much much much better car than the hpi
- design wise)

carefull with the sanwa, your price is too cheap (1400 here), check the
servo, i'm not familiar with sanwa but iinm m8 got multiple version, u need
to chk which version is that.

the point of getting expensive radio is to get the high torque/speed servo
(3++ each) so even if u buy 3pk (2 servo = 700, receiver = 300, so the
radio is just 550) its quite cheap.

sanwa mx3 come with low torque/speed servo, so the only advantage if u buy
it is the fm, which less ppl use here (get the 75mhz)

what ever it is, if u buy m8 or 3pk make sure u get the high torque servo
(s9451 for futaba, dunno sanwa model no - i have seen toy city selling the
3pk with the standard s3003 servo), the m8 require separate fail safe
module, 3pk built in. ask around, my friend said can get it for 1350.

dun worry so much abt those fancy stuff, its the high torque/speed servo
that matter most. (abs is just pulse braking where u can set at certain
throttle position the transmitter will start pulsing the brake, u have to
set everything yourself, not automatic like real car, there is no sensor
for it)

pokemon, just to add that the VB and the VR Sanwa servos you mentioned are
analog type. They are very good servos though...

Sanwa M8 is digital right? So does anyone know what model of servo that i
should get (in the box) for the M8? Anyone bought an M8 before might help
maybe.

And FM, AM, PCM? What are they? Because i've heard about them.

pokemon,

Sanwa digital servos are WR.

eRS,

Do not confuse digital and analog with the type of transmission between
the Tx and Rx (i.e. FM, AM and PCM).

If you mention about the Tx being digital, it means that it has digital
display and that the trims can be adjusted digitally. Not like the ones on
the Sanwa Blazer where the knobs control the sub trim. That is analog true
and true.

InitialD
---------

So, that means if i get an M8, the WR servo is supposed to be in box
right, or at least that's the best servo to be used right?

What about the AM,FM and PCM frequency? Which one is the best?

Anyway, anyone out there heard of a new Kyosho V1RR Evolution model? It is
supposed to be an upgraded version of the current V1RR.

My one is M8 but if u hv an M8 budget, I personally advice u to go for
3pk..It is not mean M8 is not good but 3PK have fail save factory
installed in it..where as the M8 need an otptional acc to get your car
save.

M8 is fm maaa...
