Last night pump full, today lunch time i drive out to cheras & back to
Sri Petaling. Stop to buy something & smell petrol then take a look at
bottom of car...saw petrol leaking/dripping quite heavily from the
petrol filter area. Immediately drive to SC but when reach there no
more dripping. But insist the mech to lift it up & check it out as well
but cant locate where the dripping come from as the dripping already
stop.
Last time also smell it especially when pump full but today is very
serious..
The mech also say the hose that connect to the tank from the body
where we pump also crack so I change it (RM68.00)
But the main fuel leak problem havent solve yet...have to wait another
leaking/dripping time to catch the culprit..meantime have to live with
it..damn agony!!
Anyone have this problem before? pls advise..

Dun over pump yur fuel tank. I believe fuel will leak out if u have a
fuel tank and yur car is under the hot sun (evaporation) The hot air
increases the density of the fuel in the tank and probably some valve was
trickled and out come the air but in yur case, you pump full tank and
that is why the fuel leak.
Good theory hor?
Just dun overfill yur tangki ler...

when the fuel pump automatically stop "TAK"... then u must withdraw yur
balak, oops i mean yur pump oredi. U may be frust (premature
e**********) when it does not reach a round digit but no need "faan" like
u lor... ker ker ker....

My car never pump full tank but sometimes can smell heavy petrol near the
back. Wonder if it is leaking too.

i have the same encounter. Especially when I drove my car back to home from
work. Smell like coming out from the fuel door eventhough i didn't pump any
patrol earlier on.

Maybe your petrol filter block ler??? Recommend change every 80K woh..
Anyway, your fuel tank is a sealed one.. Unless your hose inlet port got
problems...

yeah i agree wif u neo it sud be the filter block problem, will change
on next service & not pump full tank to avoid pressure build up & fuel
flow overflow..

I also have the petrol leak problem last few weeks. The small fuel
return hose was cracked. Changed for Rm60, now OK already.

hmm maybe:
1. u pumped till the neck of the cap
2. maybe not fully tighten your fuel cap
3.u corner hard
4. then it spilled from ur unfully tighten fuel filler cap
5. becareful after filling full tank...let ur car runs few kilometres so
the petrol went down before lighting ur next cigarette and/or throwing
away the ciggy buts...
serious..
