sifus here ... how to open up the center console of proton waja ?
i am thinkig about adding a fuse to the fuse box for the rear fog
light , and then open up the center console and connect the rear of the
blank button to the fog light button .

1) remove the screw under the rubber pad beneath the radio. Take out the
whole black console.

2) remove the twi screews in the middle console box. Remove the box
portion

3) remove the two screws now visible. Take out the portion.

4) while you at it, try to find the alarm box under the radio (near the
car floor) and straighten your alarm antennae to get better range.

i straighten the alarm antenna already... so the procedure is same
kah ... then easy lo ...

How exactly do you straighten the alarm antenna? When I installed my cd-
changer I managed to look at the back of the radio unit when they took it
out...didn't see anything that can be "straighten".

it is not behind the radio . its under the rubber mat under the ashtray .

Hi all the Sifu

 

I want to remove the CD Player from my Waja for repair. My question is that after removing the gear nob and the screw under the black rubber do I just pull out the center console ? When I tried to pull out the console it is kind of hard like something is till holding the console. WIll it break anything such as any clips hold the center console if I pull the console by force ?

Many thanks ! i had managed to remove the CD Player.

one question - I cant locate the alarm module after I dismantle the CD player. Do I need to dismantle both the aircon controls and the ash tray to get to the alarm module ?

I can't dismantle it

From my reading
It require unscrew from behind the console!
I don't know how the sifu do it
