There are outstanding issues with the cam-tak-pro engine & manual gearbox
combination in the gentut that have not been resolved with the gentut
sedan. Some tweaking been made to the TCU in the auto.

i'm pretty sure they didnt include a manual for the hline persona purely
on marketing reasons alone(whatever the reasons are). there should be no
issues putting a manual into the hline when they already have it in the
other variants.
Like i always say to myself, just because i wont buy it, doesnt mean
someone else wont.

It is probably something to do with price positioning and the margins in
the car.

Err, i rather take Auto for Proton cars because the all the proton cars
manual shifting is never on positive side..i mean the gear change isn't
smooth.
*yawn*

Just read in cars.my about their scoop in test drive the pesona prior to
launch.
So the review wrote about the mismatched manual gearbox carried over from
the gentut. Apparently, the gearbox was lifted from mitsu, the manual box
gear ratios are too far apart, not suit the high rev, low torque character
of the cam-tak-pro. So every gear change upshift tends to drop the engine
rev below the torque curve, making the engine struggle to regain the revs.
Either that rev the engine up to red line before up shifting.
