Hi all Persona owners,please give your opinions.Its almost 1 year since
Persona was launched in Aug,last year.Do you think PERSONA is a good or
bad car basing on the price(about Rm 54k) you paid for it.We hear some
complaints but which cars are perfect and have no complaints.But what we
want to know is Persona on the whole a good or bad car for its price?
Lets vote lah!

mesti tarak bagus lahhh.... boley pakai itu RM54k buat benda lain, beli
beras, beli minyak... lu tak tau ka nanti minyak mau naik lagi? better
beli skrg lorrr... beli barang makan...

even tak payah pakai kereta lagi bagus... naik kapcai saja... kurang
sikit bawak family member.. kalau kurang family member ikut, belanja
jalan2 pun kulang maaa....

lu tanya sini punya forum ah, manyak tarak rasional lorrr.... of course
they will hantam kow kow chan kata persona boley buang longkang... kow
kow punya...

Although I bought persona less than 2 months, I am of the view that the car
is worth for the money.

Yeah, totally agree with you.

With less than RM50k, you can get a car like Persona, its really a worth
deal.

my car is 9 months old.

fr 48K, i feel its worth it because
1. the big cabin and boot
2. 110bhp 1.6 engine with EFI
3. 4 speed automatic
4. reasonbaly good ride and handling
5. 5 years warranty

on the other hand, i would like to stress problems with my car that made
me unhappy.
1. battery kong in the 3rd day; new battery changed by proton
2. rear LH door lock kong in 1st week, rpelaced new by proton
3. steering wheel rattling noise at horn pad.
4. driver side power window knocking noise when winding up
5. dashboard squeaking noise when going over bump
6. ssuspension rattling noise when cornering to left or right

other than that, there are some difficulties like
1. manual side mirror, but not a serious problem.
2. no front speakers, but i can make do with that
3. fixed rear seats but i never need to carry long items.
4. no fog lamps, but i never drive on foggy area also.
5. noisy central locking, but i can make do with that also
6. many blind spots not visible, but now i know how to overcome

overall, i am still happy for the

1. strong headlamp penetration
2. big glovebox and centre parcel box
3. nice gear lever to hold (auto)
4. supportive front seats
5. trip computer showing 12.5km/L
6. 4 power windows
7. 4 cupholders

still want to complaint? for 48K....nahhh..

RESULTS SO FAR is 3 GOOD against 1 BAD out of 4 Persona owners.

1)Siapani says " mesti tarak bagus lah"
2)Kelantanz says " is worth your money"
3)Pillar says " is a good deal for 50k"
4)Alldisc says " for 48k is worth it because.................."

BTW thanks to Alldisc for giving us the many pros and cons of PERSONA
before concluding that overall is worth it.Your review is very infomative
for future buyers of Persona. We are expecting more Persona ownners to
give their opinions soon. So far the GOODS are leading!

after 6 months, a little bit here and there does not bother me, but i
really need to say something about the engine. I dont know if im
experiencing the torque dip, but the engine growls in hessitation at
certain rpm with slight vibration which you can feel is really a nasty
feeling. Pressing the pedal to get pass that point is rather annoying.
Even depressing the pedal is uncomfortable. I cant drive like i normally
do with other cars.

It does have its sweet spot but i think it should be linear across the
range.

Ive always wondered what if proton use an old, proven mitsubishi engine,
it would be a very good buy. At least it performs better than the campro
minus(Lotus somemore).

I thought the later model w/ IAFM or something, if I get the word
correct, has overcome the RPM problem already? I thought might want to
get one for my wifey.I've not sit in one yet.

But yesterday has sit in a MyVi of someone and he is driving 130km/h. I'm
nearly pee on the passenger sit. Horrifying!

I'm glad did not sell off my Waja.

I feel that Kasut is neutral and Splitfire is about to join the PERSONA
CLUB soon as he may be buying a Persona for his wife. Lucky wife lah!
And Airine has taken Persona to Genting Highland for a testdrive with
positive results.Airine says...I m proud of Persona........(ref: Need
Help)

Xstan may be right about Siapini. Actually what Siapini said is quite
confusing .
Thanks for pointing out. This FORUM is for the benefits and welfare of
PERSONA Owners. Its like a PERSONA CLUB. So lets be constructive and
