Aft servicing my aircond a couple of mths ago, I begin to hear
a "hissing" sound coming out from the glove compartment but couldn't
confirm at which exact spot it comes from. How arr? The sound appears on
& off, not loud but still very irritating to the driver, me.

My 4 month old Wira SE makes all sorts of noise from the dashboard
(glovebox rattles all the time), left front door (panel trim vibrates
whenever the car is idling) and front suspension (squeaks everytime you
go over bumps, or turn the steering to the left). Add this to other
problems like a malfunctioning auto gearbox that didnt want to shift
gears, bodykit that detached itself from the car after just 2 weeks of
ownership and an engine that stalls whenever it feels like it..... you
get the idea of what my car is like - an absolute nightmare!

And mind you, all these noises & problems started after like 2 days of
ownership. I think Proton needs to really buck up on QC. Whomever their
QC Director is now, he needs to be fired, really. I've been to Proton
Edar about 16 times in the past 4 months to try to fix all these problems
under warranty - they just tell me that "Protons are just like
that....can't do anything about that..". All I can say now is that my
next car will NOT be a Proton. Even if it means buying a 2nd hand Honda
or Toyota, so be it..it'll very likely have less problems than my current
car.

hehhee.. all this noise is a special package promotion form proton, you
cannot get from toyota, nissan or honda. hehehe.. enjoy...

as i said, i rather get a old second hand car also dont want to get a new
proton. although the intrest of the loan is higher. but it still worth it.

Just realised, for the money I paid for my "special rattling package"
Proton, I could have gotten a nice 1998 Toyota Camry....regret lah now.
Friend of mine has a 1997 Camry 2.2GX he bought second hand from Toyota's
used car dealership in PJ - the car is SO quiet & problem-free! You'd
never guess the car was second-hand! It even came with a 6 month
warranty......

Depend on your luck if you get Proton. Older batch QC much better at least
sound lesser.

Agreed - even my old Saga Megavalve auto has better QC - 14 years old and
still no rattles or squeaks anywhere, and bloody reliable too! Never once
broke down on me. Looks like my Saga will outlast my Wira SE lah, at this
rate - ha ha ha!
