I own Iswara Aeroback 1.3s since YR2000. Due to its aging the body has
rust on the roof and door. I understand from one of the mechanic that this
is due to the silicon that been use at that time and its common for car
manufacturer on YR2000. Recently there is another problem whereby during
rain, water is entering to the driver place from bottom as well trunk.
This could be due to the rubber but not sure yet. I plan to perform
bodywork together fixing the water entering.

This car has been with me for the pass 7 years and I don’t intend to sell
it thus I would like to preserve all I could to bring to its original
glory or better [like that they been should in serious overhaulin].

Appreciate respected former to proper a place that I can perform this
preservation for quality work and reasonable price.

Thanks.

Thanks chris7027,
RM850/pair(original).... EON or PE ?

Actually my LMST just accident and cause my
headlamp,bumper,hood....temper & crack. Then sent to EON sc ,that mechanic
quote me RM1300/ to repair all(change hood, bumper, the proton logo plate,1
pair of headlamp)is it reasonable ?? Or just claim insurance ..?

So, any advise for this ? Thanks a lot.

de headlamp is original from PE. RM1300 to replace all this is resonable
from SC but it exclude spraying costs..right..

I gor accident once last year... & i change at a spare part shop.
I change new headlamp for RM200/pair (but its proton pirated one).
I change new hood for RM300 & bumper for RM250.
I sent for spraying only RM250.
So all in only RM1,000..

It depend how much NCD (no claim discount) u have in your insurance. If u
have 50% then if claim insurance..u will loose de 50% discount & need
another 5 years to go to 50%.
So u need calculate how much discount $ u loose these 5 years & compare
with de RM1300 repair cost.. Then choose which save more $..

Face rust problem with my Iswara AB just like you. Have you found a good
workshop in Klang who can repair/weld the rust?.

If yes, let me know workshop name, address/ telephone number.

Also any advice where to buy new car seats for Iswara AB.

Thanks

However, I would recommend not wasting your money to weld, fibre, rust
paint....etc.etc...as the rust spot will appear again in few years time!.
My advice is just change the skin of your roof, door or even the bonnet
and boot without touching the frame. This will probably last you....a
lifetime..

Water leaking might caused by the plastic cover inside the door panel
that covers the door frame. Just changed the plastic.....and resealed the
rubber with bitumen. A welding shop might know how to do it. It only cost
me RM 20 for 2 doors.
