Up till now, I hardly need to top up the radiator coolant in my Wira
1.5A. My wira almost 5 years old. Recently I noticed that the temperature
gauge shot up. When I checked, my coolant level was very low.

I don't see any leak. Where did the water go?

Should I just top up the water and forget about it , or should I change
the hoses etc etc?

ranii,

Have you car encounter overheat problem before this ?

If yes i am suspecting it could be due to your cylinder head overheated
and got "bengkok"...

Aside from that, do check your water pump and radiator as well..sometime
the small leak can end up with bog problem wherebu you won't notice the
leak as your car move or the hot air from your engine bay dried the water
leakage spot

"the hot air from your engine bay dried the water leakage spot" - g88 -

That's what I told someone sometime ago about the possible leakage. You
wont be able to observe it until it's to servere. Unless you coolant is
light colored, then some marks will be left on the leakage spot. Anyway,
if it rains, these spot might get washed-away by the rain droplets coming-
in from the radiator.

Sometimes if the leakage occurs only when the engine is running
(pressure). So ranii, if this happens again, better get your radiator and
the hoses checked. Dun forget the container too!

Hope this helps.

Oh! Gosh! I haven't touch all the "fluids" in my engine until today... 2
months already...

ranii,

when u back home from a drive, park yr car safely and with the engine
still running, open up the bonnet and look again for any leakeage. just
look! dont touch anything or come close to the fans! with the engine hot
and running, u may have a better chance to find the leakage unless its not
too severe just like what drexchan had said.

if after a while u dont see any leakage, turn off the engine and put plain
paper like 'kertas mahjong' on the floor underneath the engine and leave
it overnight. the next morning, reverse yr car and examine the paper and
see if u can find any spot of coolant on it (u can tell by its color).
identify which part on the paper the spot is.

oh last time i hav also encounter with few kinds of increase in water
temp. Very headache oso cause need to check alot of stuff to find the
culprit, so u need patience. Actually if u notice the spare water tank
decrease in water level then u need to add in water there but sometimes u
oso need to open up the radiator cap to double check it cause afraid of
any blockage between the radiator n the spare tank.

2nd thingy is the water pump leakage, as they said when the leakage is
not that critical u need time to check n do what they reckon u earlier.

3rd thingy is after driving for sometime, stop ur car n open up ur bonet
wait n c whether the fan is working or not.

4th thingy is if all the above not the culprit then i think u need to
flush ur radiator.

Please correct me if i'm wrong.
