yloon,

For my ride, it is around 2.9k rpm (estimated) at 100km/h. Goes up to 3.1k
rpm at 110km/h. I am assuming the speedo reading is correct (which in fact
isn't).

Regards.

leongts,

urs is original 1.6 manual arr???

so high arr??

my one is 1.6 (M) but using a 1.5 gearbox it give me 100kmj at 2900RPM
also...... i think i want to change so can get lower RPM bout
2600RPM@100kmj.

the problem is when we speed at 140kmj, is bout 4000RPM, fuel comsumption
very high leh.....

any idea on 1.8 putra/wira or 2.0(M) disel WIRA?

My wira 1.6xli clocked 290,000 km today and is still going strong (1995
model). So far replaced auto gearbox at 234k km, Suspension replacement
every 100k km,Regular oil filter/lub change at every 8k km (2 1/2 months).
Car still in very good running condition and average mileage have
increased to 11 cents per km with the new Shell petrol.
As for RPM reading it's 2900rpm @ 110 km/hr & if you want mileage
improvement then go constant @ 90km/hr which is around 2300rpm (which is
hard to maintain as It's very slow on a 110km/hr highway speed limit)
Still it's a very reliable car compared to the new Waja as It's a
Mitsubishi Lancer & everybody know it except Proton.Big SmileWink

hi all...

feels like it's been a long long time since i last checked out tis
forum..how's everyone and their 4G92's ?..

anyway..just 2 bring up the fuel consumption issue once more..lately, my
car has been consuming petrol like crazy! Full tank of $52 can only take
me up to 340-380km...
any idea what's wrong?..serviced and changed all petrol, air, oil filter,
spark plugs etc...

planning to go Eon for MUT 2mora to find out the problem..
