wah so fast rust ah ? i have to go back and check mine ... but actually i
spray it with WD40 after installing to make sure its smooth ... just
notice the liquid became a bit brownish when opening and closing it ...
after that wipe it off only ...

well im wondering why that thing can rust so easily ... it should be
almost air tight and water should not be able to enter ... unless there is
something wrong with the rubber seal ...

have to go and check my gf one also

mike...good thing u already apply some WD40 when u install that
time...mine...i inspect it after one week...also not sure how does the
rust happened but i think its at the opening area of the hollow tube that
is in contact with the metal rod.

DO NOT apply WD40 on that thing. Other wise the rubber seal will spoil
and then will leak.. That's why it rust. It happens to mine too!!
Remember that i can still open it nicely that day in Stev. Corner? It
stuck just now...

I think, those who have problem with that thing, please pass it to me for
warranty. I'll try my best to get them changed.

well actually i used the WD40 because there was some sound when closing
it ... so i thought it was not smooth or something ... after applying the
WD40 it was smooth and there was some rust coming out ... this was done
the same day i installed the absorbers ... i dont think that thing can
rust so fast am i right ? i do recall that on that sunday it was raining
in the afternoon and some water might have entered ... but rust on the
same day ??? dont think so ... got rust in the absorber already ??? not
too sure about that also ... hmm ...

but at the moment the absorber is working fine ... it doesnt get stuck or
anything like that ... only thing is that my bonet sometimes cannot open
because i did a bonet raise and the angle of the hook is out a bit ...
later have to do something about that :P hehehe

i think the best way is to apply grease on the seal around the piston rod
on the day it's taken out from the box.
