Greetings,

Got some problems with my wife's car.

My wife is planning to offload her Proton Wira 1.6 A/B. Unfortunately, the
car is currently experiencing some problems...brakin problems to be exact.

Sent the car to a mechanic and tested the car on emergency
braking...obviously there was a loud noise whenever the mechanic applied
the brakes....he said there was something wrong with the server pump. I
think I need a second advice on this, if you guys are willing to help
laaa....I dont want to end up replacing the wrong thing when something
else is faulty....Cant simply take the mechanic's words at face value...

Previously, there were also some problems whenever I tried to apply the
breaks...the brakes are not firm and often I would have to press the brake
pedal so low...it also sounds as if there was a whooshing outflow of
air...this problem still exists.

Begging for urgent help from u guys out there...anyone in this thread ever
faced similar problems ? Any idea whats wrong? And any recommended and
proven workshops around KL? I'm staying in Kajang.

Thanks.

Actually, I've sent the car to two mechanics...one of them failed
miserably, to identify and resolve the actual problem....Angry

Mechanic 1 confidently changed the brake fluid container along with the
pipe underneath it (dont know what u call this stuff)....which I think
didnt solve anything....the brake continued to be inefficient.

Mechanic 2 tested the brake by braking hard and tried emergency braking
several times..He hesitantly assumed that it was the server pump (the
black round component attached to the brake fluid container...is it
correct??)...Unfortunately the friggin mechanic stopped there as he was
reluctant to take the risk of being wrong. I guessed he was more
preoccupied to get business volumes....rather than to attend to one.

I think the brake pads are okay....I just changed them. So whats your
opinion friend?

agestone,
have you check your calliper ? The brake pump on your disc....If not
really have let another mechanic check, word hard to tell...

Bro what kinda brake pad u r using? I've experience brake pump kong
before but obviously not similar to ur case, might not be the pump cause
if the pump failure, u hav to step few times on the pump to stop ur car
or sometimes no brake at all when u step on it n oso it would not create
any loud/weird sound. I think might be ur brake pad.
