4G13 replace engine or overhaul

would not know the state of the second hand engine.
Currently my engine is consuming engine oil and there are traces of white
smoke once in a while.
Anyone replaced their 4G13 pistons to an oversized version and rebore the
engine block before? What was the outcome?
Thanks for sharing.

properly, the car will last another 200k km, just like my own car. with
the engine kosong, it's very hard to tell the condition of the engine in
the first place, getting one is like a lucky dip, u know what i mean. on
the other hand, not many mechanics still know how to do a proper engine
overhaul, the art is almost lost due to many mechanics like yours who
immediately tells you to get an engine kosong.............so sad:-(

Basically, can upgrade your engine to 1.5 without need to go to JPJ
inspection. However need to find workshop that can.

kosong at chop shop for 50,000 km mileage.. then ur engine will feel

and valves of the cylinder head properly, then no need for port & polish
and u will still feel the difference. all u need to do is to balance the
engine and do a lower bearing selection, u will feel the car revving so
smooth u won't believe that that was your car.

flywheel, crank, conrods, pistons and outer pulley to one of my friends,
who does the balancing. u have the option, at this point, to lighten too,
but i'll advise against it as we're talking about road cars here. off-
race season, the balancing process can be done in a day or two. but don't
try to do this when merdeka race is near, as this guy is fully booked

what are the things to be changed in an overhaul beside the piston ring
or valve seal?

overhaul? all the bearings, oil seals, o rings, pistons (optional, unless
u need to rebore the cylinder) overhaul gasket set.
also best to change the timing and all other belts, water pump, clutch
pump(if damaged) and the clutch set (engine already on the ground, so
might as well change, no additional labour cost).
u will also need to replace all fluids & oils.
