Whats the best method of cleaning the air cond belt? When its noisy, i will
use the belt dressing spray and it will become quite. But after few days it
will become very noisy.More noisy than previously.I think its because dirt
have sticked to the lubricant from the belt dressing spray. The lubricant
feels like wd40.The belt will become quite again when i wash it with car
shampoo. My belt is 4 months old only. How often we have to change the
belt. What else could be done to stop the squeaking noise from the belt?

bro, try to apply some wax on the belt. The best is go buy those white
candle and let the engine run. Rub the candle on the side of the belt and
bottom of the belt. It will help eliminate the sqeauking sound. Becare
though when doing it cause your engine is running and you won't want ur
hand to get caught into the belt. Another reason for belt noisy is because
the belt tension is not strong or loose belt. Did you jusr change the
belt ?

Belt was not adjusted. The candle thing is new to me.Will try it.Candle has
low melting temperature.I wonder if it can stay sticked to the belt due to
high engine heat.

i am facing the same problem with you. when lion first started engine,
engine counterpart is very noisy. w/shop told that was air cond belt
problem. however, when press petrol, no more sound. normally, 5 mins
later from first started, the noise will stop.

never try candle before but will try WD40 to see how effect it is.

dear ali,

Never use wd40 on your belts!!!. yes.. if may solve the noise but long
run it will hardened the belt. Use special type of grease. It can be
obtain at any spare's shop.

cheers.

beli aje belting spray....ade dijual di JJ , Carrefour...dan di spareparts
kete...ade banyak brand.... salah satu nye STP ..tapi selalunye kalau
belting bunyi... tegang kan sikit tension nya tuu...tak yah spray pun..cuma
advantage spray ni boleh membersihkan dan juga memanjangkan sikit jangka
hayat belting tersebut..

just my 1/4 cents...heheheh is it true...???? dont try if dont trust it..

alienfx, when u rub the candle to the belt you only get the wax from the
candle not the whole thing. It acts like a grease. Eg. when you rub your
hands around candle your hand will feel oily isn't ?
