Hi, RON 92 that sell in Malaysia was unleaded. I know that because my old
car use that kind of fuel (cheaperlah.:) Some of the petrol station have
change their nozzle to smaller one to indicate that the RON 92 was the
unleaded one, but some doesn't. To be save, some of the cannot use this
kind of fuel taht will cause knocking, but what I see, some of the guys
selamba aje fuel up their brand new car with this petrol.

Unbelievable!
After so many years of banning the sale of leaded petrol in the country by
the government and the umpteen clarification by more informed forumners ,
the question still arises.

Malaysia: Ban on leaded petrol in 2000, The New Straits Times, April 2,
1998

Kuala Lumpur - The Government will ban the sale and use of leaded
petrol by 2000 in another effort to protect the environment. This two-year
grace period is thought to be sufficient for oil companies to totally
remove leaded petrol from the market........... The phasing out of leaded
petrol will put Malaysia in line with countries such as the United States,
New Zealand, Singapore and some European nations. - By Ainon Mohd

Unbelievable that people believe everything they read. Government can say
do one thing and then don't. So many example. Summon. False driving
licence. Low car price......... May be wrong example but you get the pictures.

Hi Xoomie,
I'm refering to ProJet and Petronas cause kat Meru only these 2 company
aja ada. But nowdays only Projet sell the RON 92. But for my Unser I still
use RON 97 cause referring to the manual, the minimum requirement was RON
95

So.. if its "true" that all station in m'sia selling UNLEADED RON92, then
why some of their workers dont even know bout it. Simply say it Leaded
becoz merah & hijau is unleaded! or it was just our Gomen sandiwara.

So now, i guess Projet & Petronas is RON92 UNleaded (according to Dinma)

isk..isk.. seems like nobody can confirm this.

Petrol station workers generally do what they are told. More often than not
that does not include the education of the differences between the
different grade of petrol? Try asking them the difference between RON 97
and 92. Guranteed they will say, harga. Red and Green? Harga. Hopefully
no-one confuse the black pump and said harga. It will be big harga for
repair!!
