I think HCEJ powerplant still the best producing lower torque for climbing
and medium offroaders.

Yep..

Already done that and lucky this powerplant manage to take me with full

Heck having a very hard time to login the net~

I guess that the old HCEJ Kembara has its own 'low' gear at 1st gear which
helps in off-roading. DVVT version does not have this low gear but the
extra 15Nm of torque (in overall dyno however) would compensate the loss &
benefits by bridging the gap of longer gearing between 1st & 2nd gear.

In term of engine however, i'm not sure as i've the dyno sheet of DVVT
engine but non from HCEJ engine... If my PC going fine, would check out
engine spec of its early procedder, Charade.

At medium offroaders especially in logging treks, 1st and 2nd gear are the
most common. At 3rd gear, Kembara will go faster but losing torque at
climbing. Faster were hazard in off-road. Jalan tak rata beb. Kereta
bouncing.

And faster habits in off-road will kill your suspension fast. hehee

Redwin - Not saying yours is not a good car ok? :) :)(

But I somehow have to agree with Rommel.

HCEJ - when you downshift, there is like a major BANG and the car gets
going.
The K3VE, DVVT more refined, when you drop grea, it goes like, TAKE A DEEP
BREATH... then POW.... of it goes.

I think it might be a electonic transmission doing its job.

ROMMEL - That said, I agree with you. But for off roading vehicles, it is
normally ideal to have peak torque and low revs for climbing etc etc.

In comparison, the DVVT occurs at about 3000rpm and HCEJ at about 5000 rpm.
So something does not add up right? :) :) :)
But I do agree with you though.
