Hi guys...

I will be getting my new kenari soon and i was wondering....kenari has a
large window and i worry that when i install/upgrade to an aftermarket cd
player i'm scared that it will attract potential thieves. I know nowadays
the playerhead can be removed but dun tell me everytime i get down from
the car i got to remove it rite?

I was wondering whether any of you guys experience windows being broken or
something like that? I thought of installing an anti breaking tint but it
only comes in clear film not coloured ones. Anyone can help?Blush

sadly the only way to avoid thieves is to actually take out the cd
head...i know sometimes it can be damn mafan but got no choice
mah...either that or risk somebody trying to get at it...taking out quite
easy mah...that extra 1 min effort can save u a broken mirror or lost
car...Smile

Hello guys,

Dunno whether you get boring or not each time you take out the player head?
My one is just a cheap brand cd player, in the beginning i'll take it out,
but later don't.

If the thieves want to snacth anything, they can wait for time, as my
kancil broke in once, that one just a original casette player back to 1996-
lo....terrible thieves.

they even take my coins......Frown

Here's two suggestions, either get the auto masking players which really
turn completely blank and thus saving u the problem from manually
detaching them...the problem is..they are expensive... secondly, is
manually remove the face plate of just buy those models which feature a
smart card (not too sure if they are still popular, blaupunkt models used
to have them) and that sure would be easier to detach then the entire
face plate...just remember to remove it if ur leaving ur vehicle for a
long time and at a place where it's dark and unfamiliar...if it's a place
where there are many people passing by, why bother?? Smile

In that case ...remove...install...remove...install....in and out i'd give
it a few months time and the player head will be loosen.Frown

Don't worry about it...the player head if it's meant for detaching, it
won't be loose...i'm using a kenwood unit now and it's still working
properly.

heres wat i've done..

changed alarm, equipped with motion sensors, shock sensor, and backup
battery, and i hardly park in badly lit areas....

u can now install add-on motion sensor and shock sensors to your ori alarm
for less than RM200....a wise investment i might say..

it'll discourage thieves from targeting your car as the motion sensor is
visble from outside....

I'm using a sony unit that turns completely blank when turned off. Cost
around RM 900. Tint the windows a bit and the view from the outside is
hardly visible. So far after 1 yr no problem....
If you do take out the head unit, just put it in the glove box, under the
seat etc...5 secs job only maa..
