since if u follow factory warranty - changing to the ester based chemlube
10w-30 won't really benefit u because the oil change is still 3
months/5000km whichever comes first

Hi linkokkeen,
I am using Chemlube too but in my Kelisa 1.0 manual. The reason I
changed to synthetic from P2 Semisynthetic is for better engine
protection. Kelisa is a DOHC engine and if you drive with high rpm, it
will be very harsh on the oil. So it's for better engine protection and
not FC. I never believe any FC improvement between synthetics vs semisyn
vs mineral. FC is more correlated to viscosity. Higher viscosity, higher
drag, thus more resistance in the engine internal components so higer FC.

When I was using semisyn P2 oil, by 5000km, engines sounds rough (butt dyno
Blush). But Chemlube till 10k km, still sounds like just had a new oil
change. I never go beyond 10k km coz by then oledi 1 year. U see, I worry
about the antioxidant. I don't think this antioxidant stuff can go beyond
1 year.

last time my friends also same problem with this ,fc will higher when u
change first time hehehehe but after 10k km then it will improve the fc
again maybe will go back to normal already. and yup i agree with u that
after use this chemlube the engine sound is more better ,can say queit
already and last week just back to ipoh ,and tested with high rpm ,it is
more pwoer to giving out but sure the fc will be more lah but lucky is myvi
small car so not so very high ehehehehhe :P and very satisfied it, be4 i
buy this ,i think to buy mobil 1 full synthetic 5w30 or 40, but the price
is too high rm188 for 4 liter so i decide to buy this chemlube and one mroe
is my friends to suggest and zerohundred forumer also suggest it for me, G8
, then i cant really know abt this oil so didnt do the research and will
not decide to buy it also :) so end out buy this chemlube :).

Hi linkokkeen,
I think u mean Q8 oils. Heard it's a reputable product too. So u r from
Ipoh, I am also from Ipoh. Well RM188 for 4 liters for Mobil 1 5W30?????
Eh, how come I couldn't find any 4 liters pack in 5W30 in Penang. Anyway,
I have 7 quarts of Mobil 1 5W30. I bought them in Carrefour. US pack. RM30
per quart. So far only saw once so cheap. Normal time RM50 per quart.
Sometimes can offer at RM45 per quart.

As the oil is use, it will thin down, due to VI degradation. So FC will
improve but at the expense of viscosity thinning.
