Wanted: Disc Brake

Hi, guy anybody want sell , complete set of rear disc brake system for
satria 1.6 .Mine now using normal drum brake the bastard who sold the car
took out the disc brake system.My mistake did not check.

why on earth did he took it off the 1st place?
u sure your car not sambung one?

just go to spare part shop or chop shop.easier this way.

if sambung how came Puspakom inspection ok , just renew road tax, no
problem, only thing is it originally 1.6 converted to 1.8 SOHC engineand
other thing i wanted to know near the fuel indicator there is 2 word
always on 1) H and DA or DO OFF sign any idea what is the damp thing is
telling. I am a first time owner of a car, so dont really know much about
cars.

i dont know about 1.8.
try posting in proton owners forum.
there are some 1.8 owners in there.

I think its OD off/on indicator u are referring to.there is a switch on
the gear lever.
its the overdrive.if it is switch off,the shifting will only take place
from 1st to 3rd gear(assuming yours is 4 speed auto box).
if switch on it will play with all 4 ratio.
its for a bit more power.can be used for evertaking.

Thanks for info, me learning more and more about cars now.Now have look
for switch dont know which one is it, thank anyway.

it is ridiculous to take out the disc brake, better double check with
better mechanic...1.6 body is not suitable for drum brake..

i just got the grant last week, its is Satria 1.6Xli converted to 1.8
SOHC, model early 1996, was the ealier model without rear disc brake?

this is normal situation la.. the previous owner take out the disk before
sell the car.. don't worry la, i'm sure ur car is real 1.6 one. u can
check with the chassis number. if PL1C96M, thats 1.3. If PL1C98M, thats
1.6. u can ask the chop shop (kedai potong) if u want to find the disk
brake. there's a mountain of proton/mitsubishi used parts there. should be
no problem la...
