What make u tick driving an alfa

Love to hear your revelation on this topic. We have the current FF and
previous FR. Surely there are differences on these. What I find on my
(only) alfa is that it really enjoys to be driven hard (not rough),
confidence in overtaking at cruising speed (top/5th gear), rarely need to
change topgear during climbing at gradient 45 degrees and less and very
good at cornering too. On the road I can feel (not imagine) tyres holding
the road. In all it is truly a driver's car. I don't find all these in any
other so-called driver's car available locally. Now your turn to reveal on
your liking of this car.

spend lots of time bonding with their mechanics.
And don't get started on that lurvly engine note which we then 'enhance'
with the aftermarket bullets and mufflers.
I love the logo though.

There some truth in the replies. Come on la, reading along the sentences I
can say that you're no longer alfisti. What I would like to hear is
something from alfisti out there. Why is it to him this car becomes
adorable.

longer alfisti. You must be a mind-reader!!
Stop being so presumptious. Haven't you heard of the saying : Don't judge
a book by its cover?!

a few weeks ago i get frustrated with my car with its continuous lil
problem that can never be solved...just for the record..i have at least
spent almost 15k over the last two years to get my car in perfect
condition..u name it ..i`ve done it..top overhaul, new paint, new
upholster, absorber, 3 complete sets of tyres, air cond compressor, lamda
sensor, lower arm, both emblems front and back, the wipers, windscreen etc
etc.. done it all...and that doesnt include my obsession to service the car
on time and sometimes 1k-2k before its really due and plus changing the
spark plugs before it even reaches its half life yet... all for the sake of
getting my ride as good as new..and yet no matter how much money and time i
have invested on this italian machine, it never gets enough....somewhat
somehow...theres always things that needs to be done on the car...
so back to my story...there i was one afternoon frustrated over the
continuous strike of bad luck with my car.. i stopped over at one of the
car showroom..no need to mention what it was..test drove the car... and by
the time i got back to the showroom nothing beats the feeling of joy and
sense of belonging when i saw my car again... the feeling is just
there..yes some people say its the alfa virus.. but i dont know, for me its
a car i can really associate myself with physically and spiritually..(he he)
as if the visit to the showroom isnt enough..i started flipping the "cars
for sale" section in The Star.. observing every single column of the entire
page while wondering what will be by next car... well i dont know whether i
should be glad or frustrated cause in the end i kept going back to the
alfa romeo "cars for sale" section.. as if i am not through with the car..
at the moment, i am currently thinking of changing to a 156 in exchange of
my old 146 1.7 boxer.. should i or shouldnt i.. i know there are a lot of
people will be discouraging me.. but then again..it is the car that makes
me tick..hmmm...

The humour of the tongue-in-cheek reply I made is apparently lost on you.
No matter. Even though I'm now into my 3rd alfa, I always shake my head
and ask myself WHY did I get an alfa everytime I am driving a different
marque ( both Teutonic).
Then, i start her up in the mornings and her her growling ......and still
I ask myself WHY ...hahahaah....

up.. It's woefully underdamped in the current 156 and 166 that it changes
lane on it's own at 200 kph when it's hits a dip.( Talk about mid-lane
crisis, I should know...)
In the 155 it's so jarring the fillings tend to fall out...and it's non-
existent on the Bertone GT1750.It crashes over the ripples and potholes
but give us a series of bends and a silly grin appears magically.
and when you floor the throttle...man the hair on the neck stands....
