VR4 4g63T pros n cons

my friend thinking of transplanting the engine into his wira 1.6
auto..since i've no experience about it so all sifus pls help me....:)

1. usual problem after converting ?? idle prob?? alternator?? driveshaft??
2. locked 4wd gearbox to 2wd...any problems with it??
3. how about spare parts?? easy to buy/find??
4. fuel consumption for standard engine?
5. is it reliable for home to work style driving??
6. how to maintain it w/o burning ur pockets??

orait....tips to buy half cut....buy a half wrecked car....why? this IS
BECAUSE a half wrecked car was scrapped due to an accident.....and on the
contrary..a perfect half cut.....might give internal engine mechanical
problem...the original car might be scrapped becase of internal engine
failure...logic right??..so..remember next time u guys happen to go to
the junk yard and looking for an engine...look for the wrecked ones...

next....once u have found your beloved half cut , ask for the price...and
makesure u kawtim,....if the taukey refused to kawtim, then tell him u
only have this much and this much of
money.example...chewaaaaaaaaaaaah..hehe

jo senget: haiyo...banyakmahai la taukey..kasi kulang sikit la..

taukey: ok lor...rm2800 kasi lu angkat lah...
jo senget: ala taukey...200 potong..saya mau pi SUN COMPLEX ( hehhh) pun
tarak cukup lah..kasi potong lagi la.
taukey: aiya lu gila ka..kalau lu tak mau..tak payah cakap la....saya
sinag sinang buley juai ini half cut 3000 tau
jo senget: aiyaaa..taukey lu banyak sombong lah..ini macam.... ( kasi
keluar duit) ...saya ada rm2700 saja..lu mau angkat...tak mau..saya lain
tampat angkat!

haa...macam tu laa aku beli half cut...cuma kes aku..aku bayor rm2500

lagi satu...tukar engine ni..seronok..mmg la seronok..tapi masalah ngan
JPJ...
yg dibenarkan oleh LAW ialah 30% cc increase..tak buleh lebih...so macam
kata 1.3 naik 1.6 and 1.6 naik 1.8/1.9..macam tu buleh ler..kalau dari
1.3 naik ke 2.0..haaa..ini banyak cerita ni,....

PROCEDURE NAK TUKAR ENGINE ( JPJ APPROVAL)
OKAY...mula mula sekali,..masa beli..mesti mau mintak surat kastam dekat
taukey kedai half cut tu..kalau tak ade..nanti susah..sebab nanti mmasa
nak regioster JPJ ingat itu engine curi..kan ke dah satu hal...and kalau
laaa Surat kastam tu hanyalah copy sahaja..makesure bawak surat tu pegi
pejabat kastam utnuk nak suruh depa cop....kiranya macam nak verify the
genuinity of that letter la...

2) pegi amik borang tukar engine kat JPJ ..mintak kat kaunter pertanyaan
aje

3) bawak kereta pegi puspakom....pegi check..sebelum pegi check..makesure
kereta kau dah masuk disc brake..and suspension dah buat and tayar
tebal..kalau tak fail....

i'm chinese, the above info i copy from kl_mafia...
anyway, from what i know, the TD-05H market price should be around 500 ~
800 depend on the condition! my foreman now used the VR4 RS TD-05H twin
fins + VR4RS intercooler in his GSR, damn power! :)
