Hey guys,
I need advice... I've got a decision to make by this week on choosing between 2
cars that I'm not familiar with. They are:
1997 (A) Proton Putra
1997 (A) Hyundai Coupe
The latter is about RM14K more expensive. Both in excellent condition, nice color,
accident-free, nice plates, standard (except the Hyundai comes with new rims and
tyres) and all.
I'm worried about maintenance of the above cars, torn between the 2 beautys,
concerned about the resale value (which one I won't lose so much $$$). It's
basically going to be my car for driving round town.
Any pointers on decision making? Anything I should look out for when reviewing
both cars again?

Well, if you are more concern about maintenance and resale value, i would
say you should avoid getting the Coupe. The cost of spare parts for a
Coupe aint cheap you know (compare to Putra).

I'll take the Putra anytime.
Too bad the Putra is phased out with the Wira/Satria 1.6/1.8.

I own a 97 Hyundai Coupe 1.8A. Maintenance okay, reasonable. Parts easy to
get. But performance wise, hemmm... I supposed if you look for that
maybe people would suggest Putra.

Ive tested Lisa's coupe ler..., pickup kinda slow ler.. i think
putra would fare better. But proton qc is lagging behind the hyundai ler...
if both cars interior aren't making funny noises or squeeking, go for the
putra..
