Need advice. My PV6 has clocked 65K kms and lately, I find that the car seems to have a problem even when I slowly accelerate. When the rpm gets to around 2400, I sense a barrier where the engine does not willingly want to go beyond this range easily. If I continue to press the accelerator (gently at that), the gearbox will kickdown to 3rd. This was not the case previously where it is possible to smoothly go to 100+ kmh speeds without any kickdowns.

Anyone knows what I should do besides going back to EON?

May be la may be only ha!,your latest petrol fill up the station's stock petrol the octane not so high. Knock sensor senses pingging it retard your ignition timming therefore you feel your car not so responesive.
And lately ambient temp also very high during afternoon this also robbing a lot of engine power.

Or your air filter already almost sumbat.
